A meal well done :). Perhaps things have changed at the Lake Club.

As the valet parked my car, I crossed the little

footbridge from the lot to the restaurant. Beautifully

high vaulted ceilings with great wood frame arches,

my party and I (about 20 in all) were seated in the

front room. We were there for Sunday brunch, which

included an entertaining jazz pianist. (I’m sure he’s the

same artist featured on the Lake Club home page,

really interesting voice and he remembered to sing a

Happy 80th Birthday for my Aunt) I arrived late and

was quickly accommodated with a nicely chilled

mimosa and a menu. Entrees of veal stacked with

portobello mushroom and mozzarella were thoroughly

enjoyed by two of the ladies across from me. Fresh

grilled salmon was met with high praise to my left and

my lunch was fantastic- a light, crunchy tortilla basket

filled with layers of grilled eggplant, zucchini and

yellow squash, chopped escarole, grilled- seasoned-

sliced chicken and julienned parmesan cheese. Wow!

Envied by all and highly recommended. Thank you

Lake Club, for a lovely brunch :)

WORST FOOD IN S.I. ~UNDERCOOKED RAVIOLI, TOO MUCH SPICES (PEPPER), CHEF HEAVY HANDED, NO PROCIUTTO ON LAMB CHOPS, EVEN THOUGH MENU STATES "WRAPPED WITH PROCIUTTO", OVER-PRICED!. WORST FOOD IN S.I. ~UNDERCOOKED RAVIOLI, OVER-SPICED (PEPPER), CHEF HEAVY HANDED, NO PROCIUTTO ON LAMB CHOPS, EVEN THOUGH MENU STATES "WRAPPED WITH PROCIUTTO", SALAD LOOKED LIKE IT WAS PICKED FROM CLOVE LAKES PARK, OVER-PRICED! I WILL NEVER, EVER GO BACK AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT (?) TO ANYONE. NEXT TIME WE'LL GO TO McDONALD'S FOR A BETTER MEAL.
