“Food is good if you need a quick sushi fix and don't feel like driving into the city.”
“The place is really cute and the service is very good but there's nothing creative about the menu.”
“So, if you want something more creative then I would advise you to drive into the city but if you want to stay local this is a good place to start out with.”
“We have never had a negative experience and are loyal customers because we enjoy the service and food; we could just as easily go somewhere else, as new sushi places are rapidly opening up all over Staten Island.”

Consistently satisfying. Osaka has been a family favorite for years now, even with changes in ownership. It's too bad that others have experienced rude servers and inadequate food; I would urge them to try again. We have never had a negative experience and are loyal customers because we enjoy the service and food; we could just as easily go somewhere else, as new sushi places are rapidly opening up all over Staten Island. Even my father-in-law, who generally hates whatever restaurant we take him to, loves Osaka.
Not what it used to be.
New owners.
What was a nice, seemingly authentic place for Sushi, has been reduced to another outer borough "The diners will not know" waste.
The service was slow, the staff seemed to be bothered when you walk in. Used to be they were glad to see you.
The soup was served warm, not hot, and the sushi was small and poorly prepared. They hired a nice Mexican man to prepare the Sushi, I guess he is still learning.
In the meantime, forget about this place.
Good sushi. The sushi was definitely good, but the waitress is a little weird. She seemed to be in a bad mood when you asked her for something and when I was leaving I asked her for a take home menu and she gave me one that looked like it was in the garbage. If the people that worked there weren't so miserable this restaurant would be great. The cute little japanese room is adorable.
Good for Beginner.. Food is good if you need a quick sushi fix and don't feel like driving into the city. The place is really cute and the service is very good but there's nothing creative about the menu.
