Fine for quick bite to eat. Villa Monte is what it is, a pizzeria serving pizza plus. It's not a restaurant with spectacular food presentation nor does its menu entice you with its fresh ideas. But it's food is good for a quick bite after work or a nice Saturday lunch. It's very suitable for families with children, or school/church groups. It is spacious, a little loud, clean, the food is plentiful, served hot, tasty and it's staff are friendly and competent.

Best Italian restaurant on the Island. As someone of Italian background who has grown up in SI, the land of great Italian food, hands-down Villa Monte has been my favorite place for real Italian food for years. My immediate and extended family all feel the same way.

Yes, it is extremely casual. The wait staff are local teens, half the place is a pizzeria, & it is noisy. But this is part of what makes it great. It is a genuine, local Italian restaurant with no frills, offering the best Italian cuisine on the Island, esp. for the price!

It not only serves typical Italian-American cuisine but also real Sicilian cuisine like escarole and beans, sauteed broccoli rabe in garlic and oil, etc.

Staten Island by far has the best Italian food of all the boroughs, and this is the best on the Island!!

My review:. I have eaten at Villa Monte for years, and have experienced alot of their dishes. I have never had any complaints and I am shocked that for what it is, it was rated so low.

Let's admit that this place is a Pizzeria Restaurant, not a Restaurant exclusively. It is a great place for family sized eating, and very reasonably affordable. It has nice decor and has a friendly atmosphere. There is noise from chatting, and I would not say eat here on a first date because it is not intimate and romantic- but for other functions and meals, it is great!

I recommend it to couples looking for a place to eat, friends, and family. But like i said, do not expect a quiet intimate dinner in a dark restaurant.
