not the best. this "kid friendly" place is kid friendly even in the bar! Class trips where students make their own pizza - watch what happens to the cheese as the class leaves (it goes right back into the bucket for the next pizza to be made).

And watch out for the cats...they too like to play in the cheese - if you ever parked in the back you might have seen them.

The people are great, but the food - doesn't live up to the original

Great food, great people!. I come from Los Angeles just to have their baked clams and shrimp parm! The food is always awesome and the STAFF is even better!! Great, friendly, efficient service especially in the bar!!! The kid friendly area is excellent for families but I love the new privte dining room addition for when you want something more romantic, great for group parties too! Love it! Jimmy and his wife Kathleen are the kind of welcoming hosts other restaurants dream of having! Can't wait to go back!

JIMMY MAX HAS SOME CRUST!. ONE OF NYC'S BEST PIZZA JOINTS, GOOD FOLKS, GOOD FOOD, TRY THE HOMEMADE MOZZERELLA STIX AND BREAD, VERY KID FRIENDLY. WE LIKE TO RELAX IN THE SEPARATE BAR AREA FOR A COLD BEER AND A LIGHT CRISPY CHEWY CRUST PIE, IF YOU WANNA KEEP AWAY FROM THE KINDER. SAY HELLO TO SPUD IF HE'S IN, HE SHOULD BE DOWN AT THE END.
