The worst I would not recommend this company !! We brought a vehicule from Puerto rico to Connecticut on September 16th 2012, knowing that sometime things happens, we paid and extra $140.00 for insurance in case something happened to the vehicule which it did, by the time we picked it up from Bridgeport CT, it had many scratches and a broken light. Since the guy that works at the office was there with us, we made the report and were told that we needed 3 different estimates, I lost a whole day's work to do this and after I was done, brought all the estimates to their Bridgeport office, we were told not to worry because in just a few weeks everything was going to be taken care of. After a month and nothing, I called them and was told again not to worry, it would take another few days to receive a check for the damages. We waited another week and still no check, when we called we were told that the person handling this was not at the office that he was going to call us as soon as he was back in a few minutes, well, that call never came. For the next several days we kept calling and this guy was never there, when we finally talked to him he said that he was going to check what was going on, a few more days and nobody never called us. Fustrated and upset, we decided to call their new york office, there,we were promised that everything was going to be taken care right away. a couple of days later we received a release form which we signed, made copy of, and sent back certified mail just to be sure. We talking now November 28th, almost 2 1/2 months after we made the original claim. we received a notification from the post office that they received that mail on November 30th, 2 days after it was sent. Ever since I had many phone conversations with their New York office and nothing, I called them this morning and now they claim they never received the release when we have proof that they did on Nov. 28th. This is almost 3 1/2 months after we started this and nothing yet. I'm amazed at how irresponsible these people are, I would never again use their services and certainly I will make sure that family and friends DO NOT use them. I'm sure that the only positive comments posted here are posted but their employees. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT SOONER OR LATER !!! AND I'M AN EX-CUSTOMER NOT THE COMPETITION AS THEY CLAIM ABOUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS !!!
I most certainly would use La Rosa del Monte again.. My experience was wonderful from the beginning. When the moving team arrived they were on time and professional. They were pleasant and worked quickly. No surprises at the last minute or hidden charges. I am moving from New York to Florida and i would most certainly recommend them. It was pleasant and calm experience. They are VERY helpful and professional.
I used La Rosa del Monte for my move
from New York to Orlando, FL. It cost me $1800 to move a studio apartment including $1000 of insurance. PLUS HEADACHES AND ARGUMENTS with the Staff. 4 boxes with all kitchen items: plates, cups, a whole set of wine glasses, vases, even a blender! completely broken! and the boxes packed by them, two lamps completely broken, my white brand new sofa scratch and ripped (despite of telling them a million times to be careful!); my dining table chipped, an expensive painting, broken. and after unpacking I noticed I am missing at least one box, with all my bed linens... It has taken 3 months with no resolution. Genaro from the NEW York office a gentleman, he tried to help and ensure I receive the best service. forward all information to the Orlando office and to this date I DONT KNOW WHO THE MANAGER IS BECAUSE he is not facing me. Instead, only the employees with no authority to make decisions are the ones assisting. To make matters worst, they send me a "CLAIM RELEASE" for a total of $40.!!!! THIS IS AN INSULT!!!! I paid insurance for $1,000 and they are offering me $40.!!! this is a disgrace!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO CONTACT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FROM THAT COMPANY. SOMEONE THAT IS ABLE TO MAKE DECISIONS. THE LEAST I EXPECT IS RESPECT. EVEN THOUGH TIME HAS PASSED, I AM NOT LETTING THIS GO..... I held back from posting anything negative for all these months waiting for a resolution but nothing has happened. I called just now and all i receive is an attitude as if I owe them anything. YOU OWE ME $1,000. AND I EXPECT TO RECEIVE IT.
I only had great things to say about your company. I have even recommended my family to use your services. and the day I do it, this happens. I wish I could post pictures. (and I will find a way to post them).
However, I need to say that the customer service staff in New York is very good, unfortunately in Orlando, not so good.
110% satisfied dont think twice!. my family has been using this company since i first moved here from puerto rico when i was a little boy, i love seeing their big green trucks drive by it always brings back great memories. they make the moving process really simple we just have to call have them to come give us a quote and then they pick up my entire move the next day. quality service and their a family owned company so i feel thats what makes it feel more personal and friendly, also if your having financial problems they were willing to let me pay the majority amount of it at the end of the move so it really helped me alot.financially, me and my family will be using this company till the day we pass we couldnt be more happier with a moving company.
worst company ever. I move from Massachusetts to Florida and I have to be honest the service from the people of MA was good but the problem was with the employees of Miami. They came with my moving and my apartment was on the 2nd floor but the entrance is from the 1st floor. When they ask the address my apartment has the #1. So when the start unpacking they saw that is on the second floor and they said that if we don't pay $50 they would not bring up our stuff, that they would leave it outside cause it's more money if they need to bring it to the 2nd floor. They started to argue and calling us liars because we said that the apartment was on the 1st floor. The apartment has #1 on the door so is not my fault that the landlord put that number and the apartment really is on the 2nd. The basically leave everything on the street and we call the company to complaint and they did nothing about it.
New York Office has terrible customer servie. I contacted this company about a move to the Dominican Republic. I have called them six times. It took two missed appointments before someone showed at my home to give a quote. I have been trying to speak with a supervisor for the past two days to iron out a detail before shipping. Today I called and the receptionist after inquiring why I was calling and taking down my information put me on hold for 12 minutes then came back not know who I was and asked how she could help me. She took my information again and said the supervisor will call me back. She called me back it was to let me know that the supervisor basically did not have time to speak with a customer which was looking to spend about $7,500 with them. If this is the kind of service they give before getting your money just imagine after they have your goods and your money. It?s a terrible thing when a company becomes so big that it either doesn?t care about small customers or just doesn?t care. I will look for another alternative for my shipping needs and hope I do not discover that this is how this industry does business.
No complaints here, very professional. I was referred to this company by one of my close friends, and at first I admit I was a little spectacle because of these reviews. They showed up to my house on time and the packers worked 4 hours straight with only a 20 minute break. They were very professional and kept me updated at every point during the move. My items and my car arrived in NY (from California) not only a week early, but in perfect condition. They came to my new home and did all the unpacking for me, they were different guys but worked just as hard. They even cleaned my car before turning it over to me, which was very impressive. I will be recommending this company to all my close friends and family.
Most professional moving company yet !. I have moved 5 times in my life, and this was my first time using La Rosa Del Monte Exp. and the experience was unbelievable, the estimator came to my house the next day after i called and gave me a good price, I informed him i needed to move out of my apartment the next day, and he told me no problem and the next day the came to pack and pick up all my stuff early in the morning. They even held onto my belongings while i tried to find a place here in the city. Such a great experience i recommend them to everyone, not one item came scratched or missing. I find it very hard to believe these other reviews are real because compared to the other companies I've used La Rosa is by far more dependable and professional. I hate when people come onto sights like this and try to defame such a reputable company as this one, you should be ashamed of yourselves!
LOST 42" PLASMA TV..
I HAVE SHIP MY BELONING THRU THE ROSA DEL MONTE UNDER THE BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS AN OUTSTANDING COMPANY FOR SHIPPING, BUT I FIND OUT THE HARD WAY, THAT THEY LAID TO PEOPLE ABOUT THEIR SERVICE. TO BEGIN, AFTER WE AGREE WHAT THE COMPANY WILL DO, LIKE PUTTING ARE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMET IN A WOODEN BOX. WHEN THEY ARRIVE AT MY HOUSE, THEY TALL ME THAT THEY WILL PACK THIS STUFF IN THE TRUCK, BUT NONE OF THE WHAT THEY SAY HAPPENS. I WAS TOLD THAT ALL THE TV, TV STAND AND AIR CONDITION WILL BE PACK IN A WOODEN CRATE. THE ONLY THING THAT ARRIVE IN 1 WOODEN CRATE WAS A 27" PLASMA TV, THAT BY THE WAY WAS ALL DUSTY LIKE IT WAY STORE IN A CONSTRUCTION SIDE. ONLY A FEW PIECES OF PAPER WAS USE A PADDING. MY OTHER 20" TV CAME IN A CARTON CRATE IN WHICH WAS TAKE IT OUT MY HOUSE, I'M MISING 2 LIVING ROOM END TABLES, AND MY 2 OFFICE CHAIRS CAME WITH BROKEN WHEELS.
NOW THE THING THAT GOT ME UPSET IS THAT THEY LOST A 42" PLASMA LCD TV WITH I JUST BUT ABOUT 6 MONTHS BEFORE SHIPMENT. THE PEOPLE IN WORCESTER, MA EVEN GOT THE GUST TO SAY THAT THE 42" TV WAS SHIP IN THE SAME CRATE THAT THE 27" WAS SHIP, AND THE CRATE WAS ABOUT 30" BY 24". THIS CRATE CAME WITH 2 NUMBERS ON IT, BEING ONE THE NUMBER FOR THE 42" TV. HOW IN HELL WILL YOU FIT A 42" TV IN A 30" CRATE THAT BEYOND ME.
NOW 20 DAYS LATER AFTER I RECEIVE MY SHIPMENT, I'M MISSING A TV, WHICH BY THE WAY IS MY SPOUSE TV WHICH IS LEGALLY BLING. NOW WORCESTER ARE BLAMING THE PEOPLE IN PUERTO RICO THAT THEY LOST THE TV, WHEN WE KNOW THAT WAS EITHER LOST OR STOLEN FROM WORCESTER WAREHOUSE. THEIR SERVICE SUCKS, DIRTY TV, TV SEND IN THE WRONG CONTAINERS, BROKEN OFFICE CHAIR WHEELS AND LAST, A LOST 42" PLASMA TV. HOW DO YOU MISS A TV THIS BIG? UP TO THE DAY, NOBODY GOT AN ANSWER AND I'M MISSING THE A TV.
SERVICE IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I WAS THINKING ON SHIPPING MY CAR WITH THEM, BUT I'M AFFRAID LOOSE THAT TOO.

I am convinced travelwoman71 and IslandGirlCC are working for a competitor of La Rosa Del Monte and posted this malicious review to attempt to hurt the character of an organization that has built it's reputation with more then 40 years of outstanding service. I have knowledge that La Rosa Del Monte attempted to contact these clients on numerous occasions and still have yet to hear back from either; with contract numbers or real names so we can look up the clients case and resolve the dispute.
This is not fair to a company that has grown along with the neighborhood. I have lived across the street from this company all of my life (25 years) and they even hired me for a few summers to help with my college bills. I LOVE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE MOST DEDICATED AND PROFESSIONAL MOVERS.
