Great food; DINE-IN. Riverdale Diner is one of my favorite eateries in the Riverdale area; they have everything you could think of at a good quality with relatively affordable prices.

I am a big fan of their panini and their "made to order" pasta e fagioli soup. My family and I have been eating here for 10 years and have sampled a vast majority of the menu and never been disappointed.

HOWEVER, I am completely unimpressed by their delivery service. I have had way to many orders delivered with parts of my order missing or incorrect (or burnt to a crisp with no way to fix it). Once I called to tell them my order was missing fries and they told me they couldn't get them to me because they were so busy. They promised me a free meal but when I called a while later to collect, not surprisingly there was no record of my entitled freebie.

So if you want to actually enjoy their good food, just go to the restaurant and dine-in.

Don't order delivery for lunch!. When I order dinner from the Riverdale Diner, it comes to me quickly and correct. However I've twice now been burned by ordering lunch on days when I go into work late. First time, their online ordering system didn't get my order to them until an hour later. I had to shove the food down by the time I got it.

Today, they forgot to include the almond horn I ordered and PAID FOR and somehow I got mangu with my frittata despite specifying home fries in the comment field. (The website is set up so that you CAN'T deselect mangu.) I also didn't get the turkey sausage on the side that I, again, ordered and PAID for. Trying to sort this over the phone with them was a nightmare. We'll see if someone shows up with the missing parts of my order.

Good Food, but GREAT for Breakfast. Nice place, good service, BUT a MUST for Breakfast, awesome grub for after that late night drinking session, or during. ;) Also, a good choice to take family or your significant other for a nice Sunday breakfast or brunch. As far as Diners go, the Riverdale Diner is top notch! The best part is that Van Cortland Park is just up the street, so you can go for a nice walk after some good "eats". There is a PARKING LOT for customers! And it is also conveniently located across the street from the #1 Train Station @ 238th Street in the Bronx, or the #9 Bus on Broadway in the Bronx.
