“The highlight of Hudson's is Wednesday nights, when the resident Brit bartender comes in with excellent home-cooked fare (amongst the recent offerings are: shepherd's pie, clam chowder, meatballs, spiced wings and the like).”

“It's where you want to go for affordable drinks, the major sports games on the 2 screens, or your choice of music on the juke (though it seems 'Classic Rock' of the most neanderthal variety is the norm).”

Wednesday night best time to get to Hudson's. Not to mince words, Hudson' s "Restaurant" is a local dump. It's where you want to go for affordable drinks, the major sports games on the 2 screens, or your choice of music on the juke (though it seems 'Classic Rock' of the most neanderthal variety is the norm).

Primarily it's an old-guy bar, but a crop of baby boomers and local over-21 college people are starting to show up. Women aren't frowned upon at Hudson's, I guess they just prefer to go elsewhere. So don't bother with the rehearsed pick-up lines and the copious cheap cologne before swaggering in at midnight on a Monday.

The highlight of Hudson's is Wednesday nights, when the resident Brit bartender comes in with excellent home-cooked fare (amongst the recent offerings are: shepherd's pie, clam chowder, meatballs, spiced wings and the like).

For a taste of true local Riverdale flavor, drop by Hudson's.
