Agree with BCGraphix. ...how can you screw up pizza... went once - never again and I'm a life long resident! The place was never good. Sorry - I go across the street to Tommy's....

Sub par pizza and service. A pizza parlor in an Italian neighborhood like Throggs Neck isn't that difficult to pull off, and yet Franks manages to only stay in business because their pizza is half way decent. They have completely gone downhill since instituting extremely high prices ($2.50+ per slice and almost $2 for a soda?!?) and they pass off their penny pinching to the customer who they assume will buy it because they know they'll buy it instead of going down the road to the next place. This place only stays in business because of SUNY Maritime College, and recently claimed the school's "Best Pizza" award in which they display it proudly, but guess what... they were the only ones to compete! So it's not hard to win when you're the only one who submitted. Plus, they have really bad customer service, they are exceedingly rude to the customers and ignore them or never speak to them, they hold a "no outside food policy" even if others in your party eat there, and they take forever to heat up a slice, not to mention deliver food even if it is down the street. Do yourself a favor, if you do want pizza and you're thinking about Franks... think about sushi or chinese instead. Theres 2 chinese/sushi places next door and across the street that make alot more food, include drinks, multiple courses and charge cheaper rates ($5-7 specials all the time) than the $8-10+ you'd spend on 2 slices of mediocre pizza and a soda in a cold little room like franks pizza.
