The Setting
This unusual park consists of islands in a New York state lake popular for recreation and weekend getaways: Lake George. The Glen Island Group extends from Phelps Island to the Black Mountain day use area. With views of the leafy surrounding hills across water, camping here is quite authentic.
The Facility
There are 25 Glen Island sites located on the Black Mountain and Red Rock Point shorelines. All campsites are accessible by boat only, and visitors must bring their own to the lake if they want to go camping here. Campsites are strewn among the islands.
