Atrocious. The website showed us a lovely old colonial tavern atmosphere. We reserved a table and on arrival were ushered into a room that looked like a Holiday Inn with colonial-looking wallpaper. I am sorry to have to say this, but the food and service were both abysmal. It is really a shame this historic site does not offer a nice dining experience.

Who new they had great music too.
For once A restaurant exceeded my expectations and surprised me with a great experience not just great food but a great time. I was shocked to find that after a meal of perfect sea scallops, (my wife had an ostrich appetizer and a chinoise salad both of which she wants to order again) a great band started up and entertained us to the wee hours. They have music every night now and this new guy in the kitchen rocks also!
GO you will love it.

Excellent historic atmosphere, with great food. I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my family. I recommend the Lobster in puff pastry appetizer and the duck . My husband had the steak frites which was cooked to perfection. They made a special pasta for our children and the manager was most accommodating to our needs. We split a delicious chocolate ganache for dessert that was heavenly. I thought the atmosphere was great but think they should take down the christmas lights in the dining room.

Atrocious unless you like to be treated with contempt.. We arrived with a more than two-week old reservation and were shunted into a shabby back room by the kitchen door, and the waitress did more to disrupt our meal as she noisily commandeered the room (moving chairs around) than it was helpful. The food was no better than the local diner's. In fact, you'd be better off at the local diner. Avoid!

Worst food ever!!. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.The service was slow.The owner needs to look at making some changes.Like starting over maybe.If its this bad I dont think anything will help.
