The View – This rooftop veranda gives you the chance to look up at the unframeable--the sky that every generation discovers as its own masterpiece. Open only at dusk in fair weather, Turrell's "Meeting" room is a trapezoid with a rectangular patch cut out to reveal the wide-open sky. It's a soothing, metaphysical approach to architecture, and one of those unique art environments you're unlikely to find anywhere outside P.S. 1. – – The Other – Cool as the room is in artistic terms, it's also a grand spot to take a load off after a heady day of museum-going.

With patience this piece actually changed the way I look at the sky and art. No seriously. Being the first Turrell I had seen I thought I missed it or couldn't figure it out and you get grumpy and flippant and look at the other people around you and share either a yes I dont know what is going on look or how come youre smarter than me look. Then the sky comes down to you and resonates in your heart. One of the most stunning pieces I've ever experienced. (Open at dusk when the weather is nice.)
