Amazing time!!!. This is the perfect place to go and have a good time. The food is delicious, they have the best burgers ever!!!! The prices for drinks are reasonable and the bartenders are very friendly. Looking forward to go back with a bunch of friends!!!
Editorial Review. Black and green restaurant and bar with off-track betting, discount food specials, sports TV and the Golden Tee video game.
Great Queens Sports Bar.
I've been coming here since I moved to Astoria in the mid 90's -- and have been hooked ever since. Great chicken wings and pub food. Appetizer Sampler Platter is a great value while watching the game. Artie is a barkeep in the old fashioned sense of the word, and will be happy to hook you up if you play your cards right (a rarity in New York these days). They also have a halftime deal for Monday Night Football.
Salt-of-the-earth crowd mixed with regular 'sports guys' on Sundays (God Bless NFL Sunday Ticket) and a mellow old man bar during the week. OTB makes gambling possible. Good staff, good food, good deals and gambling!!! What more could you ask for!!!
Full dining room in the back.
Thank God for OTB!!.
I enjoy the place, including the fact it is so huge, it can offer OTB for those who enjoy equine sports. The OTB portion is seprate and upstairs, by the way. Agree that it's a great place, but the quality of food, although generous is sometimes uneven. But even when I'm feeling low, I usually wind up feeling better, by the time I leave. If I'm alone, usually I wind up in a conversation with an unpretentious local citizen.
Of course, I'm just an Astoria wannabe, stuck in an apartment in Flushing.
