Amazing food for an unbelievable price. We ate at this place many years ago, while it was owned by Cornell, a long time friend, but after he sold, for some unknown reason, we never came back. What a great mistake that was!!. This afternoon my wife suggested to give it another try, and I'm very glad we did. First we got lucky with the parking situation, because finding a spot in Sunnyside Gardens its never easy, and then as soon as we stepped in, a table cleared and we took it. The place is very modest but nicely decorated, and they great you at the door as family. The feeling stay through out the meal, because everyone is very attentive and polite. The quality of the food was great, service was very prompt, but you better speak romanian (which I don't), because the menus are in romanian and some servers dont speak english. Prices are extremely low, to the point that when I got the bill, I felt bad, so I overtipped. When we were leaving, the owner was there to wish us well. Needless to say, we'll be back soon.

Wonderful Place. The food is delicious and they have the best service. They were allways ontop of me with drinks. Would racomend it for the best Romanian food in the area.

excellent consistent food. being a Romanian is hard not to like this place. This locale has survived the ups and downs and closings of other restaurants.

If you are keen on E.European cuisine, this is the place to go.
