TERRIBLE SERVICE

The salad I ordered was missing some ingredients listed on the menu but had the ingredient that I specifically requested to be left out. After sending my husband home with the wrong pick up order and then yelling at me with accusations of misleading them to receive free food, they delivered the wrong size replacement salad.. I called them, once again, and the miserable female on the phone asked that I not waste their time. ALL I ASKED FOR WAS THE MEAL ORIGINALLY ORDERED. No matter the price! If we were charged less due to a mistake in the ordering process, then make an adjustment and correct the order. A customer doesn't want to hear your loud mouth excuses as to why or how the order got mixed up and we certainly don't want to be accused of tricking for free food!

MIKE'S DINER, I appreciate the debit reimbursement. As per your request... it will be my pleasure to turn my business and money elsewhere! GUS, I am sorry you have to deal with your rude and incompetent staff. Good luck to you.

Plenty of better places within walking distance

I used to go here with my girlfriend before i moved to Astoria. It was 24 hours, and at the time, there weren't any other 24 hour diners in the immediate area. It was sorta ok at best. Diner food, no one expects it to be perfect.

Over time, it got progressively worse. Burnt eggs , really bad attitude from the servers, like you are wasting their time. Generally piss poor service.

I moved into the area, and it kept getting worse.

I went there with 2 friends and the server completely failed to put in one of the orders. So when he returned later with only two plates, it didn't even occur to him that he forgot. Just dropped off two plates and tried to walk away. I stopped him to ask about the other order and he acted surprised. Really? There was clearly 3 people sitting there. Then he finally put in the other order, and acted like it was nothing. No offer to comp at least some of the bill for his failure.

Another time, me and my girlfriend went there early to catch the early breakfast specials. The place was almost empty.... i think there was one other table there, at most. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. From where we were sitting, we could see the cook chatting it up with some other staff..... not making our food.

Another time, me and my girlfriend were sitting there, talking about some stuff that she was upset about..... just stuff about general stress of life..... certainly not a dispute between us. The server came over and had the audacity to say "what did you do to her?!". Are you kidding me?!

On the phone, they are always pushy and rude. I can't believe this place is still in business.

Now there is an other 24 hour place called TASTY'S just around the corner, about 2 blocks away. The food isn't amazing there either, but at least it meets regular diner standards and the staff and management aren't complete idiots.

There are no plenty of other choices that have recently opened in the last year or so....... pick any one and don't waste your money at Mike's Diner.

SO rude, but theres no other options so what can you do?

Bad service. Bad food. Long waits for delivery. Unnecessary Attitude when you call

this is probably the most expensive diner in the world. A total rip off. The food is average at best. They are total a$$holes. But it's open 24 hours and delivers 24 hours, SO, what are you going to do.

It's Mike's.

I've been here I dunno how many times over the 3 yrs I've lived in astoria. Alot.

Price? Quality? Service? It's fluctuates

I've gone in and it's been fast good cheap and easy.

And I've ordered a burger fries n a shake and was charged $18 plus a $5 tip cause the delivery person ripped me off with the wrong change and took n hr to get to me. But people.. it's Mike's!

Mike's is like that wierd uncle nobody really talks about.

Sometimes he's cool and tells you a story about his time in the war and sometimes he walks around in his underwear and a sailor cap during thanksgiving dinner. It's awkward but familiar.
