Stock up & Save!. The first time I heard of this place I had no idea what this store was. My sisters in a suburban area bragged about how great it was and strongly suggested I come with them. One day I went and at first it was exactly as I imagined, you come here and by extra large quantities of stuff you may not really need. Then she took me to the refrigerator section with all their dips, prepared food, etc… I was surprisingly impressed. I bought a few things to try it out. I then found myself asking my sisters when is the next time they plan on going back because I want to get more!

Just because you shop here doesn’t mean you need to be one of those people that buys a year supply of toilet paper, who has the room for it anyway? It also doesn’t mean you need to buy just junk food. I go and buy fruit, veggies, hummus, bread, cheese, and some other dips (well that may not really be healthy). I often find it really helpful to come here being a teacher. For any holiday party, bake sale, or just snacks, I can get a large quantity at a great price. It really beats going to the local bodega and spending a ton on several packages of junk.

I think this place is great! It’s going to be crowded and there will be lines, but that’s only because others agree with me. It’s a little tricky with traffic in this area, but if you could stand traffic anywhere in NYC you probably could deal with this. Obviously weekends are way crazier than anytime during the week. If you know someone who is a member and can tag along before you join, go for it!

good BUT. I had a bad experience with a female guard a few weeks ago. They treat people without membership like criminals. I understand more than 80% of your revenue comes from membership fees but come on don't think that since I have the same skin color as you (and am young! )I cannot pay the fee. Besides that the shop is great..I got very good deals.

Great once you get in the parking lot. I love shopping at Costco. It's very inexpensive and has a lot of high quality foods. The produce is usually very fresh--good quality. The parking lot is very difficult to get in and out of--very difficult to turn off of Vernon Blvd. if the traffic is heavy.

Boxes of consumer goodies are stacked as high as the eye can see at this international chain store. In Short
Formerly known as the Price Club, this large membership-only warehouse is chock-full of almost any consumer product under the sun-in bulk, of course. With goods ranging from high-end electronics to outdoor furniture to fresh lobster, this wholesale superstore has got it (lots and lots of it!). While the high-volume and low prices appeals mainly to families and business, it's not uncommon to find college students trolling the various aisles for free food samples. The various membership options offer a range of plans, all reasonably priced. A word of warning to shopaholics: If you leave home without a list, you might spend more than you bargained for with all the deals offered.
