My kids have danced here for 4 years and they all love it! They have a ball, they learn a lot, and the owner makes sure that the girls learn so much more just dance moves, but grace and poise and disciplin and treating yourself and others with respect. We can always use more of that.

What a great dance recital! First, I wasn't sure my kids were learning that much, but wow - did they surprise me when show time came. Great costumes and the show had us laughing and crying. They love their teachers and loved going every week. They can't wait to get back! The cost is about the same as everywhere else. If you want your kids to dance or play music or whatever, you gotta be willing to pay for quality If not, go put 'em in soccer or something. I don't know about you, but my kids are worth it.

AHH-MAZING. I just love it there. Enjoyable classes, peaceful and very friendly envronment....if anyone wants to learn how to dance like a pro and meet wonderful people definately the place to go to!!

Cathy's Dance Studio is the best in Town. Not only the quality of classes but the class in treatment that you get by the staff and the lady who owns it! So warm and Friendly atmosphere and most important So Professional.. If you look for a plcae for your kids to learn dancing , it is "the" place!! My daughter absolutely loves it there..

If some finds it expensive, well, what is not these days, But I chose QUALITY!! Hats Off Cathy"s

look somewhere else. If looking for a dance studio look elsewhere,This place is all about money and the owner getting paid on time,The owner has nothing to do with the place except for picking up the money and asking the slaves who work for her to get what needs to be done,I went here with my 2 daughters and 1 month before the recital after paying all my dues and paying 1000 for costumes my husband lost his job and i was told i couldnt perform in the recital unless i came up with the last months dues,What kind of a person would do this,It broke my kids hearts ,This woman is a money hungry witch.

Best Dance School Around. My daughter's been with Cathy's Dance Studio for 5 wonderful years and can't wait to go back this fall for more ballet and tap. The teachers are wonderful, fun and caring. They take their cue from owner Miss Michelle, who loves the kids and dancing. She practices what she preaches and dances right along with them in the show -- high quality -- every June. Every child gets a chance to shine -- from the babies to the adults. This has been a great self-esteem builder for my daughter. I hope quality dance teaching at Cathy's around for another 50+ years.

every child is treated SPECIAL!. I can't say enough about the way my daughter is treated at this school. Everyone treats us so nice. They really make you feel special. Most of all my kid learned so much. I don't mind spending money when you get bang for your buck. This was our first year and the show blew us away is all I can say. Broadway style you know and the kid's actually danced. My 3 year old baby was rockin it . She really danced. I love the school. My daughter took ballet last year. They usually start them with ballet,tap,or acro. Probably gonna add tap this year they really give a good discount when you take more than one class. The kids seem to really like tap. My kid really liked her teachers too and the director Miss Michele who seems to put her heart and soul in it. She must cuz the school is terrific!

best dance studio in town. being a single mom I don't have much time on my hands so using the time wisely is of great importance to me... which I'm sure a lot of you reading this this can relate to... this school is the best I've been to so far and I've tried quite a few. all i can say is they are awesome... my daughter has learned so much since she has been at this school...they sell all the dancewear at cheap prices so no need to go running around town to find a bargain. they let you pay the tuition monthly and there's no obligation to pay for the whole year in case you move. (which can be an issue for me with my job). the show in june was outta this world all the kids were amazing! the only thing I wish there was another show...my little one was wanting to get back on stage again.

fourth generation at cathy's...simply the best!. I'm a third generation at Cathy's ... mom and grandma were students too and now my daughter is! Such a warm and inviting studio. No attitudes... Directors are on top of everything and truly care about all details most importantly the kids... secretaries are sooo helpful. The teachers really care about the children. The studio gives family discounts and all types of promotions. Can't beat the price for the level of service. Miss Cathy's has always been known in Astoria for this reason. Studio is always clean. Also, it becomes an extended family (4 generations later). My husband and I can't wait til september our daughter has been nagging us all summer about when dance class starts!

If your looking for five star dancing go to Cathy's. I brought my child into the door s of Cathy's and was greeted by a friendly front desk staff, who promptly gave me all the information I needed. My daughter quickly bonded with the loveable teachers who give 110% and always have new exciting steps to teach their students. I had the pleasure of knowing my child was safe and happy in the classroom with their teachers. The classrooms are beautifully crafted with wooden dance flooring and air conditioning. Never have I gotten my money's worth as I have in Cathy's. At the end of the year, (In June) you, the parents and the rest of the family have the pleasure of enjoying a broadway style show in an elegent theatre featuring your child on stage. Cathy's is always improving their services and never lowering standards. Once again, If your looking for five star dancing and memories to cherish for years, Cathy's is the place to be. (And to all the dancers in the 2010 recital, You did a supurb job, especially you Cathettes with your Michael Jackson Tribute.)
