Best Bridal Salon Experience Ever!. I had a positive experience at Kleinfeld from the minute I walked in the door. I live in Manhattan, so I stopped by to make my appointment and requested Keasha as my consultant, thinking that it would be a long shot. To my surprise, my Keasha was available, and is exactly like she is on TV - such a character! She listened intently about what I was looking for, ventured off into dress-land to find the perfect dresses for me, and when I found one that I thought might be "it," she let me explore the inventory in the back rooms myself to make sure there was no other dress I wanted to try on. She even peeked into all of the other dressing rooms to make sure there was nothing in there that I would want to try on. I must say that the selection at Kleinfeld beats every single bridal salon I had tried up until that point (which was about six or seven). I was there for more than 3 hours! Granted, this was a weekday, but I never once felt that I was being rushed. She found Randy to come and give me an opinion on me in my dress, and after giving me the up-and-down, his comment was "stunning." I also met Ronnie, the owner, and a few of the other consultants from Say Yes to the Dress. Keasha even hooked me up with a discount on the dress, and found the perfect veil to match. She asked me to add her on Facebook, so I did, and we exchanged a few messages back and forth afterwards. My fittings were just as great. Ellie was my fitter, and I have never seen such patience in any tailor. My dress had almost 15 layers of tulle in the skirt and a ton of detail, and Ellie was always very meticulous and attentive. She listened to my concerns and found ways to address them without hesitation. I would recommend Kleinfeld to any bride - request Keasha and Ellie! You will not be disappointed.
This Place Is All Hype - Avoid - It Is A Joke. No Q these guys have a huge selection. I had a 3pm appt and was greeted nicely. Then I was matched with my salesperson Elaine and she asked about my budget. I said under $3K and some of my preferences, date of the wedding - she launched into how few options there were with my specifications and how I should be ordering ASAP b/c I am already behind the 8ball time wise and there is risk I will not have a dress in time and they can't make any guarantees I thought - ummmm - weird intro - we haven't even gotten started - this woman doesn't know me - why is she looking at me like she can't stand me? I was trying on dresses alone, am low maintenance and my wedding was 6 months from my appt. I had been to 3 stores earlier that day and no one gave me a lecture. The best is PRONOVIA's in midtown which is ALL CLASS and where I bought my dress. Kleinfeld's is a FACTORY. I had mentioned to the Kleinfled person that so far lace and a modified A-line were appealing to me but I was concerned I was thinking inside the box given I had no experience with wedding dresses, could she suggest other styles. She basically said you like what you like, , and all she did was bring me out one after the other that was pretty much idential. I asked - do you think you can suggest something given my body type that perhaps I have not thought of because none of these dresses are speaking to me and feeling a bit like I am seeing just version of the same dress - she says 'not really given your price point and what you are looking for'. SERIOUSLY! My 1.5 hour appt was done in less than one hour. It was just so awkward. Also, I took a sip of water during a dress change and when she walked in she very sternly said "Beverages are not permitted in here because of the dresses" as though I was holding a can of spray paint. I am happy to follow the rules but I genuinely didn't know. I thought - wow - the tone - and I am 38 years old - plus isn't this suppose to be even just a little fun? There was a water bottle on the stand so I assumed a sip was ok! Anyway, it was more the approach - I felt like she just wished I would disappear. When we were leaving, I asked if she could write down the name or item # so i could review them on line later. She would not. I am serious. She said "well these 2 dresses are designer X and designer Y. The dresses don't have style names so you will just have to look it up on line by sorting by designer". Oh...ok. I asked if she could note the price - she said "well it isn't hard, one is $2700 one is $2900". HOLY HANNAH. I went back to Pronovia the coming Monday and brought a dress on the spot with the wonderful salesperson who loves her job. I asked her - can you bring me out something I have not thought of - it was different than all the others and I purchased it on the spot. What a fun expeience I had there on both occassions.
Jaqueline Celestin saved my wedding day!!. My new puppy accidently got into my closet 6 days before my wedding and ate my wedding dress! I was beyond panic mode adn called Kleinfelds. With absolutely no time to ordera new dress, Jacqueline worked with me in the sampls sale room until I found the PERFECT dress. Even better was that she and Elise Forrest, the Director of Sales came in to make sure that I ad my alterations perfomed immediatley. Finally the Fashion Directoer, Randy Finelly put on the finishing touches with my vei and gave the final seal of approval to the wholoe look. They saved my day, because of their amazing and compassionate customer service. I have sent everyone of my newly engaged friends to Jacqueline and they love her sense of style and personalized customer service. Thank you Kleinfeld, Jacqueline, Elise, and Randy!!!!!!!!!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!.
I went to Kleinfeld with the delusion that all consultants were great and their interest is to help the bride find that "right dress" and by default, focus on the client experience.
However none of that was present when i came to this Bridal Salon. It has been by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
i was exited that morning until i had the unfortunate luck to have the most annoying / less interested wedding consultant of the pack. Not only was she indifferent about the idea of helping me find my dress, but also she seemed not interested, rude and snotty.

I have been looking forward to wedding dress shopping and Kleinfeld's ruined it for me. So much pressure! My consultant, Carmel, did not listen to me at all. I came in with pictures and she completely belittled them. She also commented that she prefers to work with the high end brides and probably couldn't find something within my $5000 budget. Then she kept trying to turn me against my mother saying her opinion didn't matter. Of course it does!
I have tried on dresses before and I had an idea of what was flattering for my body type. You are rushed and given a limit to how many dresses you can try on.
Kleinfelds, wedding dresses are a huge purchase and you should understand that.
Well Carmel, you lost out on a huge sale because I found a dress that my mother and I adored and she helped pay for it since it ended up costing $9000.
Poor Customer Service - Pushy Saleswoman. My experience at Kleinfeld was less than desirable. Even if I did find my dream dress (which I didn't), I wouldn't buy it from here because the level of customer service was so LOW. The woman kept pressuring me to buy something, telling me I had to make a decision that day and that I couldn't wait. She was way too pushy and had a very unpleasant personality... very bossy and aggressive for what I was hoping would be an enjoyable experience. I will never go back here and would not recommend it to friends. It's cheesy, phony and fake from the decor to the employees.
Had a great experience even on a budget. I was going to cancel my appointment at Kleinfelds after reading reviews about staff people treating people poorly because they didn't have a large budget for a dress. I'm SO glad I didn't cancel. The staff was so polite and friendly to me and my family. Jacqueline C. was my salesperson and she was AMAZING. I told her my budget was between $1500 and $2000 and she helped me find the perfert dress that looked like it costed way more than what I paid. The owner was there and she personally thanked every bride and their family for choosing Kleinfelds. That was amazing customer service! It never hurts to give something a try and I'm glad I gave Kleinfelds a shot. Had a great experience

I went to Kleinfeld's armed with around 10 pictures of bridal dresses that I like, which is what their website tells you to do. My saleswoman barely looked at any of the pictures and brought me gowns that weren't in the style of what i wanted. My friend that was with me kept pointing to the pictures I had brought, and kept saying, do you have anything like this? These are what she liked. The saleswoman kept saying, oh we don't have anything like that.
How is that possible? This place has a huge gown selection, hundreds of styles, yet they don't have fitted A-line gowns? Hard to believe. She kept saying, 'you're young, you want something fun'....fun, maybe, but she seemed to have one image of what young brides want, and that was not me. I would say the whole Kleinfeld's experience depends upon the saleswoman, and if they are really listening to what you want or not.
