Editorial Review for Bridgeview Diner – by Drew Pisarra
In Short
In this salmon-and-chrome interior, the dining area to the left is more formal: carpet underfoot and white vinyl banquets. To the right is the more conventional diner setting: a long counter, small booths with tabletop jukeboxes, ceiling fans, swinging doors that lead to the kitchen. A tabbed menu breaks down into food from the griddle, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. An insert listing daily specials in small print is crammed with endless dishes.

All I can say is Oh My GOD!!! Never attend this restaurant. It was fully staffed with a bunch of mobsters. I have NEVER been treated so RUDELY at a restaurant. I could tell from the beginning that this was going to be a terrible experience. The staff constantly ignored you, they took butter from our table and gave it to another customer and when we asked for more butter they continued to ignore us. We had to beg for syrup and WATER. What more can I say: They added a misc. charge to my bill for 5.00, when I asked what it was for they ignored me some more. What kind of mess is that? I finally got fed up and told them well if you are going to continue to ignore me I am going to ignore the bill. I walked out and they followed me, I made the comment so now you want to talk. On top of all of this the food was cold and mediocre. This sure was no TOM's restaurant on Washington in Brooklyn, NY. I will never recommend this place unless you have a passion for punishment. The only reason we stayed was out of desperation because we had hungry children and there were no other diners close by.
Pros: not one single pro
Cons: customer service, misc. charges, ignored

My family and I went to this diner last week while on vacation in NYC. Wow, what can I say? Horrible. As soon as you walk in, you get the feeling that you have travelled back in time. The place is old and not very well kept. I can imagine what the kitchen looks like. There are about 10 "hosts" in jackets who watch your every move while you are eating. It is very creepy. The doorman wears such a tight jacket that you can see his firearm protruding from his waist. It's a DINER for goodness sake! Don't even get me started on the menu. It is about a 100 pages long with tabs. Completely ridiculous. The food is subpar and took way too long to come out. The editorial review recalls it as swinging Vegas. Ha! More like a creepy old mob diner. Very strange dining experience. I have no idea how they are still in business. Don't waste your time with this dump.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Old, Dirty, Too many workers in suits watching you eat, TERRIBLE Food
