From Dr. Karina B. Salvo (owner of PawPrints AMC PC). Hello Everyone!! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself... I come from a long background of being involved within the animal world as a technician.

After 16 years of being a technician, from a single doctor practice to becoming a senior nurse at a multispecialty veterinary practice, I decided to take my education to the next level...and applied to Veterinary school.



I graduated in 2005 and have been trained by multiple board certified specialists by completing a rotating Small Animal Medical and Surgical internship at New York City Veterinary Specialists in Manhattan...now known as

BluePearl Veterinary Specialist, one of the leading multispecialty veterinary hospitals in the country! I completed this internship in 2007.



Since then, she has been working in a high volume, fast paced general, surgical and emergency practice. I have become Vet-Stem Certified in 2009 (regenerative stem cell therapy), have undertaken a lengthy study of Chinese medicine and practice acupuncture, moxibustion, aquapuncture as well as needless acupuncture by use of a class four laser!



My education is ongoing so that I can provide the most to my patients. My most recent endeavor is Certification in Veterinary Food Therapy as well as Certification in Veterinary Tui-na.

I have recently moved to the area and have done house calls within the community. As I open my first Animal Medical Centre in The Rockaways, I bring with me an excellent staff! My technicians are licensed Veterinary Technicians as required by New York State and have been trained in critical care settings by the strongest of multi-specialty teams in New York State! Client Care Coordinators are friendly and more than happy to speak to you about your pet or answer any and all questions you may have. If they cant, they will forward your call to someone who can...usually without having you wait for a return phone call!
