Editorial Review for Enid's – by Andy Battaglia
The Scene
In an area of Williamsburg that bleeds over into Greenpoint, this local bar plays home to all the characters who make this emerging neighborhood so downright hip--painters in splattered jeans, indie-rock kids, lots of Werner Herzog fans--you'll find them all at Enid's. Leavened with drinkers who are cool on the inside, it's a comfortable stop for all.
The Draw
Enid's is exceptionally large for a New York bar, even for Brooklyn. On weeknights, there's plenty of room to wiggle around; on weekends the crowd will keep your wiggling to a minimum. The flea-market couches and scattered tables and chairs complete the understated decor, though a big wall-hanging camel made out of gold sequins adds flair. As for drinks, Enid's keeps it simple, with an adequate stock of liquors at fair neighborhood-bar prices.

We went for Sunday brunch yesterday...We were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait and ended up being seated over an hour later. (The host seated several guests who showed up after us first) The waitress was borderline rude and never came back to check on us. The leek and potato hash was pretty delicious, but the lettuce in my salad was still dirty and there was no salt on the table. After walking by several times, I was really looking forward to checking it out.... The atmosphere was cool, but unfortunately I was underwhelmed and will not be visiting again.
Pros: being able to help yourself to coffee while you wait is a nice touch
Cons: mediocre service

Enid's has one of the best brunches in New York, hands down. I usually order the huevos rancheros, or the salmon cakes with eggs. I was recently converted by the garden burger which is certainly the best in town. Just know that the service is really slow, and the prices are a little steep, but in my mind, worth it. Good portions, delicious food.
