My children wanted a late nite snack. we went to Akiyama Japanese Rest and ordered a big and juicy and yummy party snack and it an awesome snack we ever had.

Great Experience. I was recently introduced to this place by a good friend. Wow!!! This is the best Sushi in the world!!! The Crispy Crab Roll should be illegal. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a first class dinning experience in a very comfortable environment. The service is top notch and the food is to die for. This is the first and only Sushi place that allows you to customize your order to your preference. Don't forget to order the fried ice cream!!!!

The Real Deal. I have been going here for years, this is hands down the best Japanese food that I have had. If you really want to experience Japanese food with lots of originality, this is the place to go. Great for first timers and pros.

Always very fresh, and super friendly service. I've been going here for years and years with my family, and we love this hidden jem. It's nice to once in a while not have to go to the Manhattan for quality sushi, and going to this place feels like going to a very familiar haunt (the owner/ waitresses remember our names and are very warm). Place is small so it can get packed, but take out/ delivery is very good too. Highly recommend.

Bad experience. There are only two waitresses and one is the cashier too who also takes calls for takeout. Very slow. Wait forever for food. Place is small and cramp.

Best Sushi in NYC. Well..maybe one of the two best, but it is excellent and its Teriaky dishes are the most delicious in the city without question. The Lobster Roll is the trademark and it's divine. The service is friendly, and the appetizer SHUMAI are a must.
