My friend and I had been coming to this restaurant for years, enjoying the romantic atmosphere and friendly service. It was with sadness that we found a decline in the food quality during our last few visits. Yesterday we ordered the sashimi, which was of poor quality, smelled and tasted fishy. The manager explained some of the poor quality by saying that the some of the fish was delivered frozen every few days. He brought out a noticeably fresher portion, leaving us to believe that they had both fresh and old fish but served their once loyal customers the old fish. After leaving the restaurant, both of us became nauseas. My friend developed a rash on her back and stomach, requiring antihistamine medication to treat. As of this morning she is still sick. I have asked the Dept of Health to investigate, but in the meantime, I would avoid this place.

i was surprised when i first walked in to yuraku - you wouldn't think it has a romantic vibe to it from the outside. the food was excellent, we ordered the braised(?) duck for app, and the meat was so tender and tasty. they occasionally gave us free sushi, and the wait staff is good. the ambiance was romantic, and the place isn't overly crowded. good place for your money.
