“If you are near Bayside or Flushing and do not want to go to Astoria, Laterna is a great restaurant to go (parking in the back).”
“If you find the restaurant quiet as I do (I go at odd times and this makes it easier for us because of my energetic toddler), don't worry, they still have fresh food.”

“It is in a great location, there is parking in the back, the prices.”
Worst experience ever!. really???? after reading these great reviews i said hey why not?? after going to the place i realized all the people writing these reviews are the people that own this place or are related to the people that own this place. expensive for food i would not serve in a third world country! worst service ever! please do not waste your time or money! this is somewhat of a joke, i thought they were going to yell "hey you got punked" and bring me out my real food but that never happened :(! i got food poisoning and yes im sure it was from the food here!
GREEK INTERNATIONAL FOOD. PERFECT FOOD,SPECIAL SERVICE,VERY CLEAN,LOVELY ATMOSPHERE....
Dine in Greece without the air fare !!. Went to Laterna for New Year's Eve. The package price was well worth it. You had hot and cold appetizer, not just one. You had Greek salad and 5 choices of entree. Coffee and dessert were included and you were included in a Greek tradition of eating a special bread as the first thing you eat in the New Year. The owners and servers were wonderful. Although my husband is half Greek, he doesn't speak one word. Everyone made us feel welcome. There was live music. It was as if we had left Queens and traveled to Greece for the holiday. It was a very enjoyable evening and we would definitely go again.
Fine Greek food outside of Astoria. If you are near Bayside or Flushing and do not want to go to Astoria, Laterna is a great restaurant to go (parking in the back). The food is great and I found it to be fresh and the prices are below to average compared to other Greek Restaurants. There is a small area for eating on regular days and a huge area for special occasions. Outside on the back has an interesting seating area as well, but I prefer inside. If you find the restaurant quiet as I do (I go at odd times and this makes it easier for us because of my energetic toddler), don't worry, they still have fresh food. Try Fillet Mignon slices with cheese (you could ask without the cheese) appettizer.
Terrific Greek food!. I once went there before the smoke-free laws went into effect, and it was pretty smoky. That's no longer an issue, so you can sit back and enjoy the great food. I went to a wedding shower there recently and I looooved the food. On some days they used to have live music; they still may, but I haven't been there for a few months.
