Authenticity.
the moment my boyfriend and I were treated like royalty. The service was impeccable and so was the food. We had the appetizer combo platter with saganaki . it was wonder and I am pretty sure not available anywhere. there is no need for the so called up dating or renovations. this place is authentic quaint and traditional. wonder service and food. I loved it.

This place is bad.
My best girl friend and I went out for dinner at Pier 25A one evening. As we entered we noticed he restaurant decor hasn't been changed since the early 80's (at least). The crudite was not fresh the vegetables looked old. The fish was ok but we were told as the food was coming out that "they ran out of potatoes" so they gave me some french fries (which were horrible and soggy) the prices were rediculous and I would never go back!!!

Terrible Management.
Hopefully, the owner will read this:
We were a party of 4 for a birthday dinner. The restaurant seats until 11 PM.
We arrived at 10 PM and were seated. We ordered a bottle of wine, 3 appetizers, soup, 4 main courses and coffee. We were served the soup course at 10:45. The main course arrived at 11 PM.
At 11:30 PM, as we were finishing our main course, the manager began a shouting match in the dining area with an employee. The fight went on for an incredible 15 minutes. Probably embarrassed, the waitress did not approach our table again until the argument ended. The atmosphere was not conducive to a birthday celebration or even a pleasant dinner.
No one ever apologized for the display. When coffee arrived, we sang Happy Birthday. None of the staff offered congratulations or had any reaction at all.
The waitress delivered the check at midnight and the credit card receipt at 12:05. We continued sitting for a few minutes, saying good night.
At exactly 12:08, the manager approached the table. I thought he was finally coming to apologize. Instead, he stopped 15 feet from the table and rudely yelled across the distance, "You can't keep sitting here, you need to leave. We're closed."
I understand employees wanting to go home. But in a restaurant that seats until 11:00 PM for 3-4 course meals, the expectation is that diners might not finish their meal until 1:00 AM, while other nights the restaurant may be empty at 11 PM.
I would also have understood if we delayed unduly. But sitting for 3 minutes beyond the delivery of the check receipt does not, under any circumstances, warrant an ORDER to leave.
Finally, if management must ask diners to leave, there are polite ways to do so all of which include coming all the way to the table and being polite -- not shouting orders .
The food and service were only adequate. Neither provided an overriding reason to eat at Pier25A and tolerate the awful management. Avoid the place.

Wonderful tastes!.
This restaurant has been a milestone on Northern Boulevard for awhile; it's one of the many treasures of Queens.
