THE GIFT OF PERFECT VISION

Most of the reviews I have read are about some rude woman named Yolanda. To me Dr. shapiro is what should be the center of a review. 8 years ago Dr. Shapiro performed laser surgery on my eyes. I used to wear glasses as thick as the old coke bottles. To this day 8 years later I have 20/20 vision and am still delighted and thankful for the doctor giving me the priviledge of being able to see normal, something mother nature herself did not do for me.

I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro and am having a loved one coming in for the same procedure soon.

So if there is some rude staff which I have never encountered it should not sway you from seeing Dr. Shapiro, you would be cheating yourself out of excellent treatment.

long wait great DR.

I would like to say Dr. Shapiro is a terrific Doctor. I have been going to the office for a long time now. I see the reviews for Yolanda, and I must say it is true, no manners. Maybe they keep her because she does her job well, who knows. But I do agree get rid of her. I have no problems with Carolyn, and I think Marian is great. Who knows maybe they did get rid of her, I haven't been to the office for an exam in a while. Anyway love the Doctor.

Dr. Shapiro is the best

I gave it a two star because - I don't understand why on earth they keep that woman Yolanda, also I think Carolyn needs to leave also, she is very rude. If the Dr. wasn't so terrific I would be out of there in a heartbeat. I don't care if Carolyn is the wife of Dr. Shapiro GET THEM OUT. I hate to say it but I'm in search of a new DOC... I can't deal with Yolanda at all, why do they keep her, she is such a horrible person, I had phoned to ask a question and she started yelling at me, it was a wed. I guess she thinks when docs not around she owns the place. Sorry DR. S love you but gots to go.

Been going for a long time...

I've been going to Dr. Shapiro for about 15 years now. His location is not even convenient for me, but I continue going to him, as he's always been wonderful to deal with. In general all my dealings with his office have been without incident; I always deal with his wife when re-ordering contact lenses and she's terrific. I can't confirm that the name of the woman at the front desk that I dealt with last time was Yolanda, I didn't ask, but I if it was her, she's maybe the rudest person i've encountered in a professional setting. There's nothing worse than getting attitude on the other end of the phone when making a dr. appointment. I don't think that expecting someone to be professional and courteous is too much to ask.

• Pros: He's a very calming presence
• Cons: Whoever answers the phone should be fired and never deal with humans again. The absolute bottom of the barrel.

Lovely Man

Lovely person, I was introduced many years ago from a dear friend. I thank her very much, Dr Shapiro is an exception, he's an outstanding doctor. I also referred my family and friends to this wonderful man. I saw the review for Dr. Shapiro regarding the woman who works for him, I feel the same. This woman has no manners and is inconsiderate. The patients are sick, we would like to feel the warmth and care of all the staff members in the office.
