Great little restaurant -- A real gem. My family has been going to La Baraka for years when ever we want a special night out and it has only been getting better.

Reasonable prices excellent service and consistently great authentic french food prepaired the way you want. My wife and I had a steak au poivre last night, one of the best we have ever had.

Exceptional Value. We have been here for dinner a few times, and have always enjoyed the food and service. There are not many French restaurants in NYC, outside of Manhattan - and those are very expensive. A full dinner here, including salad, appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee is only about $30. A trip to Manhattan would cost more than that in parking, tolls and extra gas! We have tried quite a few of the main courses and have never been disappointed. The daily specials are usually a good bet. Occasionally, they offer a whole fish - it's truly delicious. Ask for it, if the wait staff does not mention it . I think of La Baraka as the recession alternative to expensive Manhattan dining.

Our favorite French Restaurant. This place has the BEST escargot in NY! It is served in the shell with mouth watering garlic and oil baked in the shells! We have been here a dozen of times and have consistently had delicious meals. The owners are charming and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and attended to.

They have a nice wine list and delicious specials. Definitely try the filet of sole baked in a pastry shell. It's like beef wellington, only with fish!! Yumm.

A Definite GO!. This place was excellent. Once I stepped into the restaurant, I was properly greeted, they took my coat and seated me right away. The staff was friendly and very professional. Not only was the staff nice, but the owner was too. He treated us like as if we were a house guest. The owner and his staff stopped by a couple of times during our meal to make sure everything was ok. The food was delicious and at a very reasonable price. Everything had exceeded our expectations and we were both very satisfied. I will definitely return to this restaurant and recommend them to all my friends. They even have a parking lot, so there's no hassles.

could be better. I enjoyed the food. Service could be better and parking was a problem. I also was not pleased with the music

The best kept secret in Little Neck. This marvelous little restaurant has it all! The food, the ambiance, the owners, the tablecloths, the bread, the French butter and the profiteroles are... and feel like you died and went to heaven! Prices are amazingly reasonable. Thank you to my friends

Marie-Lise and John who told me about it. The lunch buffet is amazing, and if you go and don't taste the bread pudding, you'll regret it forever! And yes, I only speak French when I go there. Thank you Marie-Lise!

Unique cuisine. Just want to reiterate after a recent visit to La Baraka, the standard of excellence hasn't changed. When calling to reserve, ask for best time, and be sure to ask how to access the parking lot behind the restaurant. Be sure to ask about their special menus for special celebrations (holidays, etc).

This restaurant has been in town for more than 20 years, and is becoming less than the well kept secret we had been hoping to continue!

The owners are Algerian, and provide a unique blend of French continental and North African cuisine.

In addition to the early bird menu, don't overlook the luncheons, when available ... what a deal!

We have used this restaurant for celebrations for years, and are delighted to be recognized from anniversary to anniversary. The owners present a kind of charm you would want to find in all restaurants listed as providing French cuisine.

Feel free to practice your French here!

Enjoy.

Very Good. I had food here and was very surprised. For a Little Neck restaurant the food was on the level. Great potato-leek soup! Don't talk too much to the owner, he has a bit of an attitude. Otherwise, I'd go there again just for the meal, the twilight price was very good.

Great food excellent service. I love the twilight dinner menu here. 21.95 for 3 course menu is the best deal you can find in city. The bread here is unforgetable. It makes you feel like dining in a country house in European country side. This little place provides excellent service. Very detailed table manner and friedly.
