“they do a good pedicure and the staff is always ready to get you in and out as fast as they can which is both good and bad at the same time.”
RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and DIRTY!. Our appointment was not taken down correctly and there were no apologies for the mistake. The receptionist was chewing away on gum without any notice or care for service while polishing her own nails. She then tried to get someone who does manicures to do a massage (meaning they are not certified), and this woman wanted to first check to see who we were before deciding if she wanted to do the massage. She was beyond rude to us and said very derogatory words - the receptionist said the woman's english was bad...it was good enough to insult anyone. We walked out and they lost over $300.
bad service for big and flashy. I used to go here before the renovations like 10 years ago and it was fine. But after, it became a cattle call and it makes the whole experience VERY uncomfortable. The ladies seriously do want you out of the chair, i spent way over the average $20 for a mani/pedi and it barely lasted 3 days. The ONLY reason one should go here is if every other place on union tpke has closed and this is the last resort.
late night pedicure yes, but could do better.
they do a good pedicure and the staff is always ready to get you in and out as fast as they can which is both good and bad at the same time. Kim herself is a bit pushy and yes they do push products on you. But the last time I went I got a guy, yes a young guy who did a great job, surprisingly. There was the usual banter and he realized i didn't want to get my cuticles cut so he just pushed them back instead. I didn't get his name but he's the young guy there with glasses, and he's pretty gentle, i'm sure he'll apply more pressure if you ask him to.
But yes if its late at night and about ot close they double team you and rush you out. only good if you need a late night mani/pedi for the next day.
could be better!. First time to a nail salon, my friend and I went for a pedicure, we stood waiting for half hour to be seated while there were plenty of vacant massage chairs. Rather than letting us sit at teh massage chairs waiting for a pedicurist, they had us stand there waiting. the women working there weren't very friendly. I overheard a pedicurist comment on her client, "OOH! Bad, you painted your toes by yourself? I can tell!" that was not very nice, made the woman so embarassed. My pedicurist just couldn't stop giggling at me. dont know why. maybe it was because it was my first time getting a pedicure and I had no clue what the procedures were, the fact that she didn't really speak english, each time she wanted my foot up on teh pedastol, she had to tap it.
one's dream is another's nightmare. happygirl99 isn't so happy. In around 2 seconds, my rating went down from a 7 to a 5, when two people started waxing me at once. Caught by surprise, I didn't know what to say but "pain in two places at once?" as I began to laugh trying to control my tension and anger, not to mention pain. As the last customer of the evening, it seemed their main concern was getting out of there; they also started cleaning the room while I was being waxed. In addition, last week they burned my sister's brow while she was getting her eyebrows waxed. I overlooked my sister's experience as a usually satisfied customer, however, I don't know if I'll ever be going back there again, definitely not as the last customer of the night.
