In Short – Kids can pedal a bike to generate electricity, create soap bubbles to explore geometry, walk a demanding puzzle maze or learn about light and perspective in a series of interactive exhibits. The teen docents who staff the museum act as interpreters of the exhibits and the science behind them. Ample outdoor space and a climbing gym give youngsters a chance to run off some energy--before they learn how nature makes even more.

Bigger than you think! Look around.

I went to the Hall of Science twice with my four year old before I realized that it was WAAAAY bigger than I had thought. The first two times we went, we went to two small areas, one above the other, with some play stuff and exhibits. Okay, I thought, not bad.

Then the third time we went I bothered to ask someone who worked there, "Hey, is this it?" They pointed me in the direction of the central hall which is a HUGE round area on two floors. More "gadgets, gizmo's and machines that go bing!" than you can imagine.

MAKE SURE you ask where ALL the exhibits are! :-)

Fun. but not too big

by mytabbycat at Citysearch

The hall of science consists of 2 small floors. The top floor has some neat stuff, and the bottom consists mainly of exhibits on atoms and molecules. It was fun, but I guess I expected a lot more. The employees were absolutely wonderful. Very nice and helpful. I think children would probably most benefit from the educational exhibits on atoms and molecules.
