Wasting away on St. Patty's Day!. I thought it would be nice to indulge in the festivities of St. Patty's Day and eat a nice corned beef and cabbage meal. I chose Grandstand on recommendation. The first 20 minutes we stood waiting for a table in the very crowded and narrow bar area. We were finally handed one menu to share b/w the five of us since none were left and 20 minutes later our order was finally taken. 15 minutes passed - no drinks even. Another 1/2 hour passed as we joked with the people at the next table whose stomach was growling the loudest waiting for their meals. The meal was good and I understand it was hectic due to the holiday but a good manager would have anticipated this and hired on some extra help for the night. Waiting 2 1/2 hours for a dinner is just not acceptable under any circumstances.
