RUN AWAY. agree with the last post. just to add a few other things....

1. BIG BIG COCROACHES,

2. Rip off on the drinks... I was at th bar when a waittress ordered a grey goose and tonic, as the older blonde bartender with the flappy arms poured the drink, she used the rail vodka when I asked, "I thought that was a grey goose" she replied "AHH they never know the difference" Really nice considering that they charge $10 for top shelf liquor drinks.... which is already overpriced

VERY RUDE, OVERPRICED!!!. Could not agree more with the previous reviewer. I have heard that this used to be a nice place until the owner Kathleen (who looks like that woman from "Throw Mamma From the Train"--really--an ancient, wrinkled mess), decided to ruin it by overcharging customers and being rude to them. She is now charging $7 FOR A PINT OF GUINESS!!! That's just an insult. I have seen her yelling at her employees (there is a high turnaround rate there do to her cruelty) and drinking excessively (not a pretty sight) many times.

The food is lousy and very overpriced. The fish and chips are cafeteria-quality. The decorations are ridiculous--cliche after Irish cliche crowding up the walls. The patrons of the bar do not seem to mind--they are complete meatheads.

Hardly any seats at the bar, but don't ask to sit at a table and drink--they will charge you an extra buck for each drink (and not inform you until they bring the check). My girlfriend and a friend of hers sat at the bar one night and were nearly overcharged by a bartender who seemed to think that the NY sales tax is 11%

The only good thing about the place is that they have an Irish singer there sometimes on weeknights. It would be great if someone took this place over, or opened real pub to put them out of business.

Extremely Rude, Will Never Go Again!. I been here about 20 times over the past 3-4 years, and always enjoyed it. But an incident this evening has made me vow NEVER TO GO BACK - the nasty woman working the door on Thursday nights. I went in to use the restroom and to potentially grab a quick drink, and while my wife waited outside for me, she was accosted by someone claiming to be the owner, who offered her a menu, which she politely refused. When I got outside to ask my wife to join me for a drink, I received a very nasty and unprovoked comment from the woman as I walked out the door, and when I told her that I have been there with some frequency and have spent hundreds there, she told me I'm not wanted there becuase she "didn't recognize me." Guess what? It's a dumpy and overpriced dive (I love dive bars) and I hope new, RESPECTFUL "owners" come in. To think that I was going to get my wife to grab her and bring her inside to grab a drink or two. Good business sense, lady - always a good idea to really insult your customers (in front of my spouse and other people!!) for no reason. Great "neighborhood" bar! Please do yourself a favor and forget this place and go somewhere else, like a half a block away to 5 Burros! And no, I don't work there!

Fantastic burger, great beer. One of the last remaining non "meat head" bars in the area. You feel like youre in a local bar in Manhattan, or better yet, Ireland. The service is friendly, the food is good, and the crowd is mellow. A good juke box too.

Good neighborhood bar. The drinks are reasonablly priced and they pour the Guinness well. The bartenders are all Irish and friendly. Good place for stopping by after dinner or a movie.

Comfortable Place, Needs Better Service. Good place with a good mixed crowd. Very liad back cool crowd. Thursday is especially good with the live music. The only problem is they don't buy back enough - you're lucky if you get one on every fourth, and if you're served by more than one bartender, it's even worse.
