No taxes; On comics, People are YuGiOh card nuts lol. It's cool about the no tax IF you don't use your card (the counter help ALWAYS want to get take out).

The HUGE flaw is that comics are in ok shape, or can't be found until you mention it, "Looking for Namor comics or indies" they will work on it and have it organized and you will see the Namor comics in a few days.

They have a card spot, where you play cards, usually YuGiOh or Magic The Gathering. It's a LOVE & HATE thing. They do YuGiOh EVERY SINGLE DAY, It's cool if you like that, they have a decent crowd of let's say 10 or 12. If you like Magic The Gathering, that is booster drafts on Fridays only (usually 4 or 6) maybe (very rarely 5 or it just is canceled) ALONG side with the YuGiOh tournament players.

The ENORMOUS FLAW overall is that THE LATEST it closes at 8PM, so if you ARE indeed trying to have a YuGiOh tournament, you will have to be there at 3 or 4PM, to be a Magic The Gathering tournament, you will asked to do it at 5PM which usually you will barely have to get it at 8PM and the employee ALWAYS want you to rush it so they can close and go to sleep, on their way home.

A perk, I like the background music :D I think it's like pop, club, techno music, like Lady GaGa or something, makes me wanna go try to see if the girl that works there wants to go hit up a spot after work (lol from a guy that reads comics or plays games LMAOOO).

GOD I HATE IT THAT THEY CLOSE SO EARLY, and the card area is pretty small for lets say a spot of 15 at same time.

If you live in the area. What are you gonna do, go over to Brooklyn to play cards or Manhattan to cop some comics, yeah aite, you're bugging!

Pros: You can get a good time chill playing cards, and get your comic books at the same time

Cons: GOD I HATE IT THE CLOSING HOURS with SMALL game room. Also the guy that only wheres a skully is kind of a dick. The lady says it was $25 to play since you didn't come in for the tourney, yet this guy (top guy) says $30

What gangs??? I've never had a bad experience there.. Count me among the people who have no idea what one poster is talking about when they mention gangs sitting on the floor. I've been going to Montasy for a long time without any problems. Friendly staff, they set aside comics for me and I get a nice discount on titles. I brought my 4-year-old nephew in and they helped me pick out some age-appropriate comics for him.

I can't think of one bad thing to say about Montasy Comics!

cheap comics and manga. I have a membership at this store that only cost me $20 and i get comics saved for me every week and i get them 20% off cover price even if they are new or old sometimes i get comics for 50% off. its a great place for kids to play i always find it funny when i get 12 year old boys asking me if i play yougioh. like other reviewer said its a great place to find gifts for kids.

comics cards plus more. I've brought my kids to this store, and the people who worked here knew exactly what my kids wanted. My sons eyes lite up when he saw all these cards they had in a showcase, this store will make Christmas shopping simple for sure! 5 stars for all their help.

Great place to make friends!. The employees are mad funny and cool to converse with. Very knowledgeable regarding, comics, Ygo, Pokemon and etc. I love just going there to chill, i see this one dude give this place a 1 star...when question..HOW???? This place is awesome with its own game room and tables and chairs to play on...NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SIT ON THE FLOOR...this kid is a competition hater for sure...i agree with the other dude..just go check it out for your self.

Great Prices!. This place it great! I don't know what the heck the other guy is talking about but this place has NO GANGS or ACTIVITY of the sort at all. I think this guy is some competitor trying to lose business for the place. Hey if you don't believe me just go there once and decide for yourself. HELL, bring your parents if needed and just test this place out, you'll see this other guys is full of SH*T...

this place sux. bunch of wanna be gangbangers and kids sitting around on the floor. kids get jumped here all the time. Apparently this place used to be good, but than gangs started trying to recruit here and things went down the tubes. Now it's just a bunch of kids sitting on the floor with their bags all over the place and a bunch of ratty looking teenagers trying to look for easy money and establish some sort of "rep" Also the staff is very cliquish. You've got to be "down" if you know what I mean, otherwise they just kind of ignore you unless you wave money in their face. Very disheartening.

Cool Yugioh cards. I really like this store because it has many Yugioh cards that are new and mint condition.

I like the big lots of cards for 6 bucks, very cheap, and sometimes I get cards that are worth like 10 bucks.

It is much better than the other Yugioh shop near it (in Hong Kong Supermarket)

I love this place.
