Arlene is a Saint!. I have been going for electrolysis sessions with Arlene on and off for about 3 years now. I've never seen another electrolysis since I began with her, and why would I?

Arlene's prices are unbeatable in New York City, and she uses the most modern and pain-free technology. Oh, did I mention that her office provides absolute privacy?

My skin is beautiful, and Arlene's work has given me a confidence I never thought I could have. She's a very down-to-Earth person, and she does all she can to make the experience as comfortable and discrete as possible.

She's easy to get to by train, bus or car. So RUN, don't walk! Arlene is the crème de la crème of NYC electrolysis.

Horrible Experience. This was the most horrible experience ever. The worst is that I am paying to be treated with respect, I was treated like if I was receiving the service for free. This lady is rude, don't think she is as good as she claims to be, at some point at felt she was pulling some of the hair, aren't they suppose to slide out after being treated? anyway, would not recommend!

Excellent!. I started going to Arlene for electrolysis a few years ago. She is the best! I've tried a few other places, but nothing worked. I was about to give up, but it did work with Arlene. She is very knowledgeable and she's always been respectful and accommodating of my needs. She made sure I felt comfortable and explained the procedures to me whenever I had any questions. Her office is always clean, the products she uses are of excellent quality and I've seen her update her office with the new equipment at least a few times. Over the time it's been a pleasure to discover that in addition to a great professional who puts herself to high standards, she is an interesting, extremely fair, open-minded, genuine and sweet person. I love her! I've sent my mom and a few friends to her as well.

Effective treatment!!!!. The electrolysis process makes it difficult to evaluate a practitioner, since it takes quite a few appointments before you actually start seeing results. You have to place a large degree of trust in the electrolysist, because even a good one will be prodding at your skin for a couple of months before you start to really notice the hair disappearing...but man, once you do, it seems to happen suddenly and is such a huge and wonderful relief.

For years I had a small facial hair problem that had caused me a great deal of stress, and I finally decided I had to start the process of getting it permanently removed. I did a lot of Internet research before finding Breier, and decided to make an appointment based on reviews and Arlene's contributions to the hairtell dot com forums.

I was confident in Arlene from the very first appointment, when she carefully explained the science behind electrolysis and what to expect during treatment. She uses state of the art equipment, is very gentle (causing a minimum of skin irritation), recommends effective & affordable aftercare treatments (she's also a licensed aesthetician, so she can also tailor treatments to your specific skin type or concerns), and her rates are INCREDIBLY reasonable for NYC. She's friendly and knowledgeable, and seems to treat a wide variety of people.

My confidence was well placed. For a little over a year, I traveled all the way from North Brooklyn to Kew Gardens for treatment. (Don't worry, her office is right across the street from an F train stop, and the E express train makes it easy to get there even from Manhattan.) Now THE HAIR IS GONE. I only regret that I didn't start treatment years ago.

If a year seems like a long time, realize that no process you choose for permanent hair removal--not even laser--is quick & easy. It takes a long time, and only electrolysis has been proven to be truly permanent (not to mention there is no potential for it to burn your skin and cause MORE hair growth instead of less...ahem, lasers). Arlene does not lie to you and guarantee hair removal by a certain date because she knows that it is different for everyone. But I don't think I can adequately express the relief I feel in not having to worry about daily hair removal, and having it all gone. A year is nothing compared to a lifetime. If you place yourself in Arlene's care, take heart that you will eventually know this relief, too...and without completely emptying your bank account for it!!

Well worth the trip. After doing a lot of research as well as trying a bunch of electrolyicists in NYC I found Arlene Batz at Breier. I travelled all the way from Manhattan to her Queens office for a free consultation which included my first treatment. She spent about an hour explaining everything I needed to know about hair removal and was extremeluy honest in regards to my expectations. She didnt really think I would be back because there are so many electrologists and estheticians in Manhattan but a year later I am still going to Arlene for her the various skin care treatments she does and I LOVE her! She works fast, she is extremely professional, she uses the best equipment, she is extremely down to earth and will make you feel incredibly comfortable and she is also totally HILARIOUS. I always look forward to seeing Arlene and chatting with with her throughout the sessions.

I have also gotten facials from Arlene and they are awesome and I always get compliments afterwards on how great my skin looks. She makes sure she customizes the products she uses for your skin type unlike most other spas. I cant tell you how many times I have gone to an expensive NYC spa and wound up with the greasiest skin for the next couple of days because the products they used were totally wrong for my skin type.

I feel extremely lucky to have found Arlene Batz and I highly recommend her. She has integrity and she is honest and she actually cares about the people she works on. She is totally worth the trip out to Quieens. KK

best spa treatments if you are a bit self conscious. Arlene Batz along with the rest of her crew are a very special group of people. Arlene is chubby and so is one of the massage therapists (sorry ladies if you're insulted). The thing is, this has made a dramatic impact on how they approach clients. They are very sensitive to special needs and comfort.

For the first time, I was able to get a body wrap robe around me without having to tug and pull at it to stay on.

I also like that they DO NOT PUSH PRODUCTS, a big gripe for me as this has been one of the annoying aspects of everywhere else. (Your products are great and I love them -- I am just grateful that you don't cram them down my throat!)

I love this place and it is very easy to love these people because the care is supurb, the skills are the best and the prices reflect that they are not greedy. Very sweet environment, very nice people, very clean office and very conveniently located across the street from the F train.

Breier Hair. I am extremely thankful to have met Arlene years ago. I have continued to see her professional and will remain loyal to her. She is professional, most educational and caring, an incredible balance. She continues to be updated with current methods by attending seminars. I have had a few experience with electolysis. However, she is superoir to all.

Alrene now has Amanda on board, a Massage Therapist. I have been getting massage for who knows when. I have never come accross the caliber of Amanda. She is fanastic!!. But leave it to Arlene to find the best. Amanda and Arlene has a forever client, me.

Results, Results, Results!. I have been going for hair removal to various facilities but my results were far from good.

I discovered Arlene and I'm so happy that I did, She makes you feel comfortable,

she's very friendly, won't make you feel embarrassed at all, and she explains it all. After receiving treatments on my face, I am so excited with the results. I highly recommend!

I consider it a blessing to have found Arlene. Arlene is extremely knowlegeable in the field and will be able to " customize" your electrology tratment to meet your needs. I have a long way to go until I am done, but in just a short time my facial hair problem is more under control than it's ever been. Don't be put off about location ( in Queens, but only half a block from the subway) or you'll be missing out on top notch treatment at reasonable prices... Arlene is professional and truly commited to helping her customers so do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation!!

Arlene Batz is a Great Idea. Not only does she offer a comfortably relaxed and private office, she provides amazing talent, knowledge and a wonderful sense of humor.

She has not just electrolysis, but also a wide variety of skin care. Do not pass up a visit to this woman. It is definitely worth the drive.
