If you're tired of eating mediocre food--this place is a great dining experience. I enjoyed all the dishes, especially the gnocchi appetizer and their coffee. This is a great group place--mussels and paella were very good. I want to come here again soon!

(2006 visit) First of all, this is not the place to go if you have little ones in diapers. There are no changing stations in the bathroom, they initially wouldn't let me change my daughter in the restaurant, and the management suggested that I use the purse shelf (a sheet metal shelf that was screwed & welded onto the outside of a stall wall and was about the width of a forearm) in the ladies room. Luckily, the waiter chose to be kind and look the other way while I changed her on the bench seat at our table. It was a good thing, because I was about to leave otherwise. Second, if you know anything about cooking, you know that shellfish such as shrimp cook very fast, and these poor teeny-tiny shrimp in my bouillabaisse were so tough I think they went in at the same time as the mussels. ADDED: We went back here in July, 2008 (because we meant to go to Plattdeutsche, but it was being renovated). We initially weren't going to be seated because they were booked, but my husband's cousin new the owner and after that name-drop we were all seated. I ordered an appetizer of foie gras, which was perfectly cooked, but my father-in-law's beef stew had dessert-dry meat, despite the sauce it was in. My husband's pork chops were pretty good (he still longed for sauerbraten). Their Pomme Frites are a little on the large side, IMHO. They still don't have a proper changing table in the ladies room (but have plenty of room for one), but they did splurge on a new high-powered (and super loud) hand dryer that scared the giddy right out of my toddler whenever someone used it. I walked out of the loo with wet hands to avoid upsetting her further. At this point I just may purchase and donate a changing table for them if I'm ever up that way again.

Pros: Hip decor

Cons: No changing table or empathy for the need to change diapers
