Just Like Eating at Families House.
We have had two parties here already. You are treated like family, the price is right, and the food is great. We are getting ready to have another party for my grandson's first birthday in June. Already booked it. You're given 4 plus hours. They don't rush you out. There is a great party room upstairs and open bar is included. The owner's sister Cathy is the best. She goes above and beyond to help you in anyway she can.
Also have eaten there with family. Very comfy warm atmosphere. Food is home style and the prices are great.
Go for it. You won't regret it.
Good Local Grub. the place offers locals decent home style cooked food at reasonable prices. The pub part is the typical hang out for local characters which is ok to hang out while waiting for a table, or your guests. They make a decent hot and filling Sheepards Pie in a hot plate - make sure you have a cold beer on hand to cool off your tounge. :-)
Old Fashioned Goodness. This is a great old family type of restaurant. The menu selection is varied and includes many old-fashioned favorites (stuffed pork chops, lamb chops, corned beef and cabbage, sheppard's pie). As always, some selections are better than others, but in general the meals are hot and delicious. Service is almost always timely and the wait and bus staff are polite and friendly. It's a great casual setting that's likely to please everyone.
Great food!. Great food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. One of the few places left with good food and reasonable prices.
I agree and disagree. While the service is slow and the waitress can be forgetful, I found the food to be just what I was looking for. The menu is very simple and unimaginative, but if you are going here for foie gras you are in the wrong place. This place makes good old fashion home cookin'.
