What People Are Saying About Empire Power Tools
Pass This Business Up

Brought lawnmower here for repair as was recommended as an authorized Toro repair facility. Anthony, the owner, never kept dates for performing the repair. Continually changed stories about parts ( transmission) being ordered & making other excuses while dates slipped by. 7 weeks later after repeated calls, Anthony who I was always dealing with said it would be ready Saturday. It was not ready Saturday AM and had to drive back 2 hours later so he could put unit back together. Result: Unit in same broken condition as when I brought it in and he portrayed it with straight face that unit fixed. Made like he was doing me a favor when I asked for a receipt of the work that was performed.
I brought to another Toro dealer who had it fixed, working properly and returned to me under warranty in approx 1 week.
Pass this business up and go to a reputable Toro dealer that's located nearby in Stormville, NY (Brady's Power Equipment ) and you'll be better off....

The owner has a cordial duplicitious mannner about him, that is engaging, BUT, he is a liar, and very POOR MECHANIC. I brought in a generator for repair, which took almost 6 weeks. When it was eventually returned, and used during a power outage, the generator had the same problems when I brought it in. Anthony, the owner who alledgedly 'worked on it', claimed he only fixed the 'power' problem. The unit was brought it because it didnj't work ! It was brought in as a not working generator, period. He never repaired it, and made at least a dozen promises to come buy and look at it. Never did, and, still claims he will come by to address the problem. Still hasn't. It has been going on for 2 1/2 months. Anthony has no credibility, horrible business skills, and questionable mechanical skills. It's a wonder he still has a business.
Buyer Beware...this is a business to avoid at all costs.

I had them pick up my riding mower a week before Memorial Day. After calling them repeatedly they finally took a look @ my mower during the 1st week in July and diagnosed the problem as a broken belt. I finally got my mower back on July 23. This entire experience cost us not only the $400+ for the repair & tune-up but an additional $379 for the mower we finally bought to do the lawn after the first of the 2 months Empire had our machine. He may be a good mechanic but he's a terrible businessman. Stay away!
- Pros: Repair was done
- Cons: Repair takes forever
Go somewhere else if you need a repair this month.

Dropped off a small piece of equipment for a repair estimate on a Friday afternoon. I was told I would be contacted in a few days. I called them the following Friday and was told they hadn't gotten to it yet and that they'd probably get to it early in the week. I called back on Tuesday (week 2) and was told they'd get to it by the end of the week. Called back Saturday and was told later today or Monday. Went over and picked it up, no estimate, no repair. The guy who gave it to me said they were backed up a month and a half... first time I heard that. Go somewhere else.
- Pros: Couldn't really say
- Cons: No calls, no service.
