If I know three things about Filipinos it's that they seem to support Manny Pacquiao, they are a-okay with eating chicken pub and they probably don't have that many gastropubs. The latter is changing with the opening on Jeepney, the East Village’s Filipino gastropub. A ½ roast chicken comes with pigs feet, the burger’s made with longanisa sausage, and bangers & mash is 5-meat embutido and kamote (sweet potato) puree. In a place meant for hanging with friends, large family-style dishes are the norm.
