Pig and Khao

Like pink before it, Southeast Asian cuisine is the new black. Lower East Side’s Pig and Khao is the latest eatery to join in on the trend and they might be doing it best. Former Top Chef Leah Cohen and the Fatty crew have combined forces to open this Filipino and Thai joint with a main focus on small plates. Don’t expect Pad Thai here--you’ll want to share grilled pork jowl with watermelon, the quail adobo, and mussels with Chinese sausage and fried mantao buns. If you still have room after, nab curry lamb ribs entree that comes complete with chapati, for making Asian burritos.
