Great Food Excellent Service
by Bernadette
Really want to give a special THANK YOU to the Manager Glen and our server for being so attentive and went above what you would expect. I am a Bartender and have been in the industry for close to 20 years. It is so rare anymore when people make you feel so welcome. I would recommend this restaurant and especially the one on 6th ave @ 51st St.
Thanks again,
Bernadette and Lisa from Ft. Lauderdale FL
- Pros: suggested great specials and let us sample beers
- Cons: Could not say one bad thing
Great Sandwiches for Lunch....
by maverrr
Great sandwiches during lunch time. I haven't had dinner there but I was impressed with the lunch fare and I think its a nice upscale place to have a relaxing lunch with a buddy. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is quite good.
- Pros: service,sandwiches

I had a business meeting in this restaurant yesterday, after placed the order the food took a wile to came, but nothing out of the ordinary and I really liked the food, I had a burger.
Then when we were done, no signal of the waitress and we asked the guy that looked to be the manager to bring us the check, after 10 minutes one of me colleagues, called another waiter that was passing by and as soon as he stopped a woman (the person that sited us) holed him and told him to go to another desk, ignoring that we were talking to him, and also left.
After 5 more minutes waiting for the check and we stood up and went to the front to see if they can get the check for us, the woman that sited us started complaining that this was supposed to be done by the waitress that was not were to bee seeing, the guy that looked to be the manager disappeared and after a 10 minutes wait in the door they got us the check (actually they found the waitress to get us the check) my friend placed his credit card over the bill then over the table, and the woman (that sited us) when saw that started complaining that this was supposed to be done by the waitress.
We had a really bad experience with the service (almost 30 minutes to pay) but the food was good.
I believe the woman (that sited us) was not supposed to be near any client.
We were there at August 21 2007 around 13:00
- Pros: Burger
- Cons: Fries and Service
Midtown at the oasis
by mpascuzzi
Having forced my teenage daughters into several upscale eateries on a recent trip to the Big Apple I finally got it right. A stones throw from the Rock, this place had a warm feel that added to the experience. Burgers, rings, and homeade beers( including Root) were just the ticket to get away from sun- dried this and wine-reduction that. The wait- staff was efficient and courteous, bucking a recent disturbing trend in New York restaurants.
- Pros: Location, value, service
- Cons: Noise

The Scene
Casual, loud and generally approachable, this chain brewery is a safe bet for groups and out-of-towners. Colorful paintings and exposed brick give the space a homey charm; ample private party space is a boon for company get-togethers and birthday celebrations.
The Draw
The menu offers the usual pub assortment of nachos, quesadillas, burgers, ribs and pasta dishes. Most are fine if not particularly dazzling. The rotating list of beers is the real draw. At any given time there are five house beers to choose from, including a lager, a red ale and an oatmeal stout, as well as two or three seasonal brews.

Cold food, bad service. I always liked the Heartland in Union Square, but this location has a much smaller menu, terrible staff, and everything arrived at the table cold and tasteless. It is obviously geared toward tourists who will never return anyway. I recommended it to friends because it was convenient and I ended up completely embarrassed.
rude waitstaff
by eggsncoffee
Waited forever for service and barely got a grunt, no smile, from him. We sat in a small booth near the bathrooms (just in case he wants to know that I'm talking about HIM!). He brought the bill and dropped it on our table while he was facing another table. No thank you. Nothing. Should have left the same thing for his tip. Food was mediocre for the cost. It is convenient but so are some other "chain" restaurants.
- Pros: Location, Menu choice
- Cons: Rude waitstaff, Cost
Booooring
by moongoddess369
I've ended up here a few times because its location is easy to remember and to get to, but every time I go I remember that I didn't really like it the previous time. The food is kind of eh, not much of a selection and the service was really slow last week. There was almost no one there on a Friday night which should have been a clue.
- Pros: location, easy, basic food avail
- Cons: service, boring
