Great Service/Late Night Atmosphere

I've been here several times and it is great as an after dinner, drinking late bar. If you are looking for a place that has great bartenders and gets really hopping later in the evening, then this is it.

Go into the woods at this unassuming lounge (formerly known as Orchard Bar) with a pleasantly natural vibe.

The Scene
The dark, thrown-together interior of this Lower East Side standby attracts an assorted crew of drinkers who won't be flitting down to the next big slicked up club. Its dingy terrariums, indoor trees and exposed beams give the bar a lived-in feeling that can't be bought. Thankfully, space is more plentiful than it first appears. The long, narrow front bar opens into a larger area for relaxing with friends on low-slung chairs or grooving to the smart DJ mixes on weekends.

The Draw
On slower week nights, the pool table tucked in back is a great place to get your game on uninterrupted. As the weekend heats up, so do the turntables and the scene. Nobody takes themselves too seriously, though; you'll get a relaxed vibe from the affable bartenders who know how to mix a mean margarita. It's a great escape from the more sceney spots that surround it.

Relaxed and Smooth

I love coming here for a cocktail with friends. The long bar or the couches in back near the dj offer the opportunity to listen to music or enjoy a drink and catch up.

Great bar. Period.

This bar has to be one of my favs. The rotating and resident DJs are always great. Bartenders and bouncers are genuinely nice. The drinks are cheap and good. Everyone there is just out to have a great time. Definitely worthy of a return visit, or two, or twenty.

HOME SWEET HOME

The DJ's, management and bartenders at this venue rock! Friendly atmosphere and a fun place to go with friends keep it spanking fun every week. Wherever we go out we usually end up here at the end of the night. Guaranteed dope tunes on Saturdays.

Only trees in the Orchard

Being fair, I did grab a drink from the very friendly Bartender on a very dead monday night. So i'm sure, like any place else in the city, it was deader than a morgue...decent decor, decent gin and tonic, but wine isn't even served in a wine glass so there is that bit of ghetto tenor permeating in the organic glow of a pretty nice atmosphere. The seating is limited and the place is kind of cramped, but I'd come back to examine on a more energetic evening.

Red and Romantic

For such a small place, the decor makes it beautiful and romantic. The red furniture really warms this place up. I personally like the lounge atmosphere and the djs this bar features.
