had a lunch date with friends recently and the food has really gone down hill here. the nachos were stale and the ceasar salad was served with raw, uncooked chicken. skip it folks
- Pros: cheap, 24/7
- Cons: not great food
I could live of the Carrot-Ginger Dressing
by 246mag
I've been enjoying 7A for years, the biggest draw being the carrot ginger dressing on their great salads! Bartenders are great, as are the giant martinis, sometimes servers can be a little aloof. Great for brunch, drinks, dinner, really anytime. theirs often a wait, but never too long.
- Pros: Carrot - Ginger Dressing, scene, neighborhood, bartenders
- Cons: bathrooms, service

I've been here a few times after work for a few drinks and some food. They have a good happy hour that starts at like 2pm and goes until 7pm, if i remember correctly. This is perfect for us who get out of work earlier than most others... There isnt a lot of space around the bar especially if you come with more than a few people but i guess it could be worse huh?... Good drinks, Good Happy Hour, Good food, Reason price, Layed back ambiance, Nice staff.
- Pros: nice staff, good food, good happy hour, good drinks
- Cons: not good for crowds at the bar

24-hour cafe and bar attracts locals on the weekdays, and hungry post-bar revelers on weekends and late nights.
BEST VALUE ANYWHERE!!!
by stephenbloger
This place is such a great value! The only bad things about is that if you get the wrong table you have a lot of people sort of standing around you while eating but just request a table in the back to diminish that. I had the grilled chicken with salad and it was really good as was the "Decent" red wine. Very trendy, lively atmosphere and can't beat the price.
- Pros: CONSISTANT. GREAT FOOD. FAST SERVICE. DECENT WINE
Where's the rest of it?

While the staff was attentive the food was disappointing. I ordered a special of goat cheese filled ravioli. They presented on a huge plate with a sprig of parsley and 10 pieces of ravioli. The ravioli was hard on the edges and the sauce was not that great. If it weren't for the bread they gave me I might have had to go elsewhere to eat. The portion was very limited. I am a big girl that enjoys eating. This left me thinking...."Where's the Beef". I am not compelled to go back anytime soon. At a dollar ten for each of the 10 little morsels it was not worth 2.00.
Best Brunch - Food, Value & Service
by bilingal
I absolutely love brunches at 7A! Even though it is a popular brunch place, the wait is never more than 20 minutes long (in my experience) and the host/hostess and servers are very efficient and super friendly. The best part of it all is the food--where else in New York City can you get all of the following for a mere $11.95? Coffee or tea & orange juice & choice of an alcoholic beverage (i.e., mimosas, bloody mary, screw driver), plus a hearty portion of delicious entree complete with awesome sides? My personal favorite is french toast with bananas and strawberry butter, and a sausages on the side. The seating outside is wonderful during the warmer days. And they never rush you and keep your coffee cup filled all the time. Just thinking about it is making me hungry...do I really have to wait until the weekend?
- Pros: Delicious food, value, service

You've fallen out of favor 7a

I've been enamored with 7A for four years. The food is usually great and I love the fact that it's 24 hours. Last night, however, they broke my heart. After spending the evening the in emergency room, all I wanted to do was sit on my couch and have some dinner. I called at 10 and placed an order for delivery (an hour before they stop). When i called back to inquire about my food at 10:55, I was told that they were sorry, but that it was being packed up at that very moment and would be on its way shortly. At 11:30, I called back and was told my order was lost and that the delivery guy had already gone home for the night. I guess whoever took the order realized the mistake but didn't want to deal with at problem at the end of a shift. It's sad that this is how this restaurant feels it is appropriate to treat a regular customer.
