This is the worst Hotel in NY. Street fights are common, bring a gun. Not for the weak hearted.
Beware! You might get stranded in a scary place!

We arrived Thursday at midnight after an 8 hour flight from London. You are required to take a train to a remote location away from the airport where all shuttle busses pick up arriving passengers. It was a cold, rainy night. We called the hotel immediately after clearing customs...and the LINE WAS NOT PICKED UP FOR OVER A HALF HOUR! We arrived at the Federal CIrcle transfer station and had waited for 40 minutes...all the time watching all the other hotel shuttles make numerous pick ups a piece. We waited another half hour for the hotel to answer their phone and were snapped at by the person who answered the phone. The shuttle NEVER CAME....and there is absolutely no other transpostation to get there. We eventually stayed at another hotel...but they had left several guests (who arrived from various countries and spoke little English) STRANDED IN A SCARY PLACE, ALL ALONE, IN THE RAIN. Attempts to report this situation to the hotel were greeted by a nasty staff...and when I finally reached the General manager the next day his attitude was that at least we were not going to be charged for the reservation. THIS HOTEL SHOULD LOSE IT'S FLAG...or if the chain chooses to let them keep it...it is truly a reflection that they have no quality control and could care less! I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THE ABSOLUTE DISREGARD FOR YOUR SAFETY THAT THIS HOTEL DEMONSTRATES!!!!
- Pros: less than zero
- Cons: Total disregard for guest safety and well-being.
For more than 50 years, this hotel's familiar green sign has signaled budget-friendly lodging for families and business travelers.
