There is very little seating and the standing room is minimal. Expect to have to push to get to the bar.

Came here on a Wednesday Night. It' s not a very big place, a handful of seats at the bar and some tables and chairs all of which were occupied. The lighting is very dark and there are no televisions. Beer selection was limited and prices were a little expensive for the neighborhood ($5 for a bottle of Bud Light). Drinks are $2 off during happy hour. It seemed okay although nothing about it was special nor would make one want to return.

lame title.. I went here with some friends recently and enjoyed it. It's a casual place with east village kids constituting most of the patrons. The drinks were average priced, and it wasn't overly crowded since we could sit at the bar. There weren't any tables open since they were either taken or reserved at 9pm, but it was all good. I recommend this place; it's chill and cheap!
Pros: Cheap drinks, not too crowded, chill vibe
Cons: maybe too small for a big crowd?

Possibly the worst bar in the neighborhood. If you like pretentious Wall St Yuppies and UWS groupies making there first ventures "downtown" then this is the bar for you.

Spent an evening here with some students from the New School for Social Research (which is just a few blocks away.) Together we enjoyed the inexpensive drinks, comfortable atmosphere and fine musical selections while we drank, laughed, and ultimately lost faith in mankind together. I would go back again, but life is a materialistic bourgois deception deflated by our post-modern condition. The martinis are good but the bathroom could use more sani-wipes in the dispenser. Oh what's the point anyway?
Pros: Arendt, Derida, Rousseau
Cons: Heidegger, Camus, Kafka

Great spot if you enjoy a drink and great indi rock. Always friendly and great music make this small spot a must for an average night that turns into a great one. Stay late and enjoy..

This is one of my favorite bars! I have been going here for 3 years. Great place for dinner with a date, drinks with friends or even to sit at the bar. The staff is always friendly and move at a un-New York pace. Decor is cozy too!
Pros: Atmosphere, Value, Waitstaff
Cons: Crowded on Weekends

I made this my first stop after work on Friday, around 6:30 p.m. It was calm, at that time, but inviting. I sat at the bar, which was romatically strewn with votive candles. A couple chatted quietly at a nearby table. The bartender was friendly and suggested considering drinks from the special drinks menu. I ordered a Rosewater, a fruity drink made up from Absolut, which tasted light although it had a kick! Soft jazz music was playing in the backround. I definitely destressed after a hectic day at work, and would love to go back!
Pros: Romantic
