ok sushi, overpriced with rude host = no go

Went here with my wife since we heard it was exceptional. We consider ourselves sushi snobs having experienced good sushi in Japan (my wife is from there). The evening started out with a rude hostess who gave us attitude (definitely don't show without a reservation...we had one). The atmosphere is very mod and looks nice from the outside but I found it cold and unfriendly inside. Sushi was average...the price was exceptional....there are a lot of better options in nyc....don't believe the hype!
Pros: mod atmosphere....if you like it.....
Cons: price and service
