omg... i came in and was really nervous about getting my first tattoo. the blond guy in the front was so nice and made me totally comfortable.. i hung out on the couch and waited to get tattooed by betty... she was incredible... and during the whole time i was getting tattooed the other artist budda was making me laugh.. Red rocket is the best shop in NYC and im gonna be a life long customer...

I went today to get my first tattoo and as soon as i walked in i could tell it was a really good place. Then when my tattoist Buddha came and was gunna do my tattoo he was awesome! Very friendly place and very clean and experienced, know what they're doing, I highly recommend this place cause im going back to get my other tattoos done here i love it. So ask for Buddha when your getting your tattoo he's wicked: ) All the other tattoists are wicked too soo no matter who u get its gunna be good and u'll have a great experience!

Pros: Everything they are unreal all around. Highly recommended!

Cons: What cons there are absolutely none!

I actually found this place right on here! I did a Google search for the best tattoo parlors in New York, which brought me here. So, I went to their website and looked through the portfolios. I was happy with what I saw and set up an appointment with Betty Rose. I was understandably nervous, since this was my first tattoo, but the second I walked in I was put at ease. The whole place was so relaxed and the receptionist was so nice! I went to talk to Betty, and showed her what I wanted. She encouraged me to make it a little bigger so she could get the small details in. I'm glad she did, because it fits my leg nicely. She did a great job! Since I found it on here, I figured I'd go ahead and post my own review, too. :] I'd recommend Red Rocket to anyone.

Pros: Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful artists

would recommend to anyone. my tattoo looks rad and i'm love with it more than the ones i got in australia. Buddha did a fantastic job and i would gladly recommend him to everyone.

Pros: i felt comfortable

Cons: i had to wait for a bit but was not buddhas fault.

Amazing!!! This was my first tattoo and it was a fantastic experience! I went to Buddha who did a GREAT job. He knew it was my first time and made me feel really comfortable. I had a pic of what I liked and he helped make changes to it to make it look better and it came out amazing. I love it! Thanks again!

I WAS LOOKING AROUND ON THE INTERNET ON WHERE I COULD GO GET MY FIRST TATTOO... I CAME ACROSS RED ROCKET TATTOO. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO AN ARTIST NAMED BUDDA. HE WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. I SET UP A DATE TO GO IN AND GET TATTOOED.I WAS VERY NERVOUS GOING TO THE SHOP .........IT WAS MY FIRST TATTTOO EXPERIENCE. FROM THE MOMENT I SET FOOT IN THE SHOP I WAS AMAZED. THE SHOP WAS VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY. THEY HAD SOME GREAT TUNES PLAYING. I WALKED OVER AND SAT DOWN AND BROWSED THROUGH SOME OF THE OTHER ARTISTS PORFOLIOS. I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THE WORK I SEEN IN PHOTOS. BUDDA WALKED OVER AND INTRODUCED HIMSELF. I GAVE HIM THE DRAWING I HAD. HE TOOK IT AND SUGGESTED SOMETHINGS I COULD ADD TO MAKE IT STAND OUT MORE. HE TOOK MAYBE 20 MINUTES TO RE DRAW IT UP. WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO GET MY TATTOO...HE WAS VERY LIGTHANDED. HE KNEW I WAS NERVOUS SO HE STRIKED UP A CONVERSATION WITH ME SO I COULD EASE MY FEARS. THE TATTOO WAS PHENOMIAL. BUDDA ROCKS............ HE WAS VERY SWEET AND CARING THE WHOLE TIME. I WOULD COME BACK TO SEE BUDDA FOR MY FUTURE TATTOOS. HE'S A FREAKING GENIUS!!!! I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THOSE WHO WANT TO GET TATTOOED TO COME TO RED ROCKET AND COME CHECK OUT BUDDA!!!!! I READ SOME REVIEWS WHERE PEOPLE TRIED TO SAY THAT THIS SHOP HAD A RUDE STAFF.....ITS NOT TRUE. IF YOU HAVEN'T COME IN PERSON TO MEET THE STAFF OR CHECK OUT THE SHOP. This is my 3rd tattoo overall, but my first one @ Red Rocket Tattoo. Erik is awesome!!! Not just the tattoo - which by the way I love (and so does everyone else I show it off to), but the manner in which he put me at ease and calmed my nerves. Easy going, professional, friendly AND the music playing was great! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Erik!!! I will definitely come again soon, and bring my s-i-l so she can have her first tat experience :-)

I walked into Red Rocket Tattoo anxious and uneasy but my nerves were quickly dissolved by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. My artist, Budda, made me feel comfortable the whole time I was getting my tattoo done. It came out beautiful! I feel like this place is top notch. It was a very clean and comfortable environment. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to others, as well.

I went into red rockets for my first tattoo which was a pretty intricate design and Buddha jumped right in and was all about it. It took him a while to draw it up but when he completed it I loved it. It took three different sessions but it was worth it. Just got back from my last session and couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. The question isn't if I will return but when I will return to get my next. I highly suggest to go to red rocket if your looking to get a tattoo and any of the artists are great, they are all friendly and are all highly professional and make it real comfortable. I will be back again for another tattoo. Thanks
