Not worth the price for many people

Go here if you have kids and they have some discounts / get a free pass or something. For adults, if you are already in technical fields, you have very little that is interesting here. It tries to cover too many things in too little a depth. You might as well spend that money on a visit to an aquarium or at a different museum.
On our visit, the imax theater was closed ( no reason given ). The 3d theater (3d Sun ) was a below average production. The narrative is not good. Only a couple of places, you really enjoy the 3d effect without straining your eyes.
the islamic science exhibhit was good. the animal exhibhits were good. but you do not to go to this place for these exhibhits.
the next time i have to take somebody to this place, i would first find out if they have seen the state aquarium, the museum of natural history and the air and space musems, and the metropolitan art museum. if they have, then no. i would advise them to spend their money elsewhere. if they havent seen any of the above, then this will be put last on their list.
- Pros: pleasant staff
- Cons: too many to list. i will not spend my money here again

The Experience
The outside of the Liberty Science Center looks like a cross between an Art Deco skyscraper and a nuclear reactor--and the inside is equally energetic. Hands-on exhibits such as a miniature earthquake simulator and a hall of mirrors that demonstrates optical illusions are guaranteed to engage and delight even the most attention-deficient child. Other highlights include the world's largest IMAX screen, a huge kinetic sculpture that seems to defy the laws of physics and the Bug Zoo (if you think your apartment has the world's largest cockroaches, think again).
The Appeal
The museum is definitely geared toward children, but even if you didn't win first prize at the science fair there are plenty of things here to intrigue and amaze you, too.
NOTE: The Liberty Science Center is undergoing renovation and will be temporarily located in the Central Railroad of New Jersey building in Liberty State Park from Nov. 25 to mid-2007. Call for current exhibits.

Not the greatest

This museum is expensive and crowded. The main displays do not change very often and lesser displays do not change at all. Presentations and movies are an additional charge. Exhibits are geared to older children, 12+ -- the age group that doesn't necessarily want to hang out with their parents in a museum. Fun trip for a group of teenagers.
- Pros: easy to get to, modern, well maintain
- Cons: expensive, crowded, repetitive
