Best Happy Hour
by dTrent96
I stumbled in last week after work and lucky me, it was happy hour. How they manage to do buy one get one everything on the menu and still pay the rent is beyond me. All is know is I will be there every Tuesday. There selection is abundant and the staff is friendly. I expected them to be a little stuffy because of the area and kind of lounge, but the atmosphere totally unpretentious and chill. Great place. If I had a girlfriend, I would definitely take her.
- Pros: ambience, great staff, awesome happy hour
- Cons: I don't have a girlfriend to take next time.
A Comfortable, Upscale Evening - Crazy!
by dougsr
My friends and I stopped at Flute for drinks before heading nextdoor to Gramercy Tavern. We ended up having so much fun, we decided to just stay and have food and drinks at Flute. I can't believe I'd never heard of this place before! The champagne cocktails were so inventive, and the food was great. Chic atmosphere, friendly staff, great experience all around. We'll definitely be back.
Great Lounge!

I'd heard about Flute Gramercy from a business associate and decided to meet a potential client there this past Wednesday (Jan 16) . I was immediately struck by the cozy, intimate, upscale yet laidback vibe. Addind immeasurably to this vibe was a superb jazz trio of unusual instrumentation - guitar, keyboards and flute!
The service was great and I highly recommend this lounge to everybody!

My waiter suggested the sparkling shiraz and it was awesome. Great service from the door, manager, and server. My friends and I had a great night. Def will return.
My favorite lounge in New York City

I've taken girlfriends, dates, and visitors from out of town (all females) and ALL of them loved this place. It's dark, and extremely romantic. There are seats with curtains which give the impression of privacy; the curtains can't be closed, but it's still very seductive. The food is ok, but I never go here to eat, only to drink and talk. Love the pillows. For a date, nothing beats Flute.
- Pros: Excellent romantic atmosphere
- Cons: the curtains can't be closed!

on this past saturday night i meet up with friends in flute gramercy, its an exquisite place, romantic ambiance with a great dj. only one problem with all respect my indian waiter was annoying but i mean really really annoying. he complimented me but it was non stop. he didnt suggest drinks he was just flirting with us and trying really hard to get a number. however, the drinks are delicious and the bartenders are excellent. i recommend this place prices are a bit expensive but totally worthed.

Great night out

I went here with a few girlfriends last night and had a great time. Our waiter was charming and although he did try to upsell (which I hate) , he was very entertaining and at our beck and call the whole night. Although they have a very long list of champagnes available, they also have a full bar of everything else, including still wines, so there's no need to just drink champagne. The jazz band was great and although Flute was full of couples, we didn't feel out of place at all.
- Pros: Decor, Service, long list of champagnes
- Cons: The upsell
Amazing time at an amazing place

I just had my birthday party at Flute the other day, and I have to say that me and my friends had such a great time! (coming from me it means a lot as I go out every week at least once?) It started out with the most original and delicious cocktails I had have in a long time (try the Mojito Rouge which has a little champagne in it, it is to die for). Then we moved to Champagne, they have the widest selection you will ever get to see, it was hard to pick, but the staff was very helpful in explaining to us the different nuances of each kind. We really had a good service; our waiter was ADORABLE and very accommodating. And the music was a perfect compliment to the lounge experience, we stay there for more than 4 hours and it felt like one! I never post comments about my dining/bar experiences but, as you got it, I had such a great time I had to post one.
I have now one more stop to add on my list of best things NYC has to offer.
- Pros: Cocktails and of course champagne selection
- Cons: cocktail prices might be a little bit above average but totally worth it
a gramercy gem!

I celebrated my birthday at Flute Gramercy and was thrilled with the whole experience. The cool, yet unpretentious ambience was exactly what I was looking for. Everyone I dealt with was extremely polite and patient with my requests and questions. I got the top shelf open bar package and some great hors d'oeuvres which everyone raved about. The drinks were so good and creative that no one could resist trying them all. It got pretty busy towards the end of the evening but because we had this great little corner of the place we didn't feel too crowded or at all exluded from the rest of the place. Service was great. I couldn't believe how concerned everyone was that we all had our drinks and anything else we needed. The result was a truly unforgettable night that my friends and I are still talking about.
- Pros: the setting, service, delicious drinks
- Cons: none!
