just moved back to New York about a month ago and have been making stops at the local spots. I stopped by Finnertys a few times but not on a tuesday. I just went with a couple of friends with some food and tuesday nights are a great night. $2.00 pints of Bud and other beers. They also have a pool table and fooseball table which is my game. The beer was cheap and cold and there was enough left for a nice tip for the bartender who was a excellent gal. So if you want a place to just have fun and enjoy this is it.

This is the most unpretentious, fun, and chill bar I know in the city (lived here for six years so far). First things first, the drink are cheap and big. Mixed drinks come in pint glasses, I don't know anywhere else that does that. On many nights the bartenders or other staff will buy me a shot! I always leave drunk and happy ;) If you are in the mood for pool, darts, buckhunter (I didn't even know I liked arcade games till I played this one), foosball, watching the game or just chatting with friends, this is a great place. I often meet my friends here with the plan to start drinking and go somewhere else, but we never leave! Sometimes we'll venture out, but we always end up back at Fins! It's a nice weekday place to bring pizza or order delivery and accompany it with cheap beer. A pizza from the new Artichoke across 2nd ave on 14th is a match made in heaven with a pitcher of beer and good company. The weekends can get busy and loud during peak hours, but you just have to deal... Lastly, the staff is friendly accommodating and cute! Being a girl, I've never been treated so well by female bartenders who care just as much about me as other patrons. The doormen are hilarious and always have their eye out for things going wrong, and some of them are hot! All in all, this is a great chill place to hang out, drink and have fun!

Pros: big drinks, fun people, pool and games

Cons: spend too much time here

I work in the east village which we all know has a thousand bars. How about one with great personality. I found it. Was walking up 2nd ave and saw the most beautiful sign. $1.00 mugs everyday from 5pm to 8pm. It was a hot one out there so I stopped in. The dollar mugs was the bonus but there are fabulous bartenders with great personalities. I love to play pool and there was the table. The bar is roomy and the atmosphere is relaxing. I now bring my co-workers every friday to start the weekend out. So i recommend this place highly.

Now here's a place to go for AWESOME drinks for a great price and a buzz you will or wont remember! Thats up to you!!!!Also a good place for beer lovers.Nothing like a bottle of beer straight out the ICE. Love the doormen who might suddenly jump on the bar and start dancing.......(sometimes the shirts come off...). The bartenders are for the most part cool and if you feel like having a conversation they are there for you but also a great place if you just want to sit and have a quiet drink.The staff makes sure you wont be disturbed by anyone.If you feel like playing darts,pool,boardgames etc.Finnerty's is a Fantastic place for that, plenty to choose from! So I say go experience the place for yourself and HAVE FUN!

I was a regular at the old location on 3rd avenue and have recently moved to 2nd avenue and to my surprise so did Finnerty's. It used to be a great NYU hangout but now it is NYU plus an older age group. Great place to meet new people. Still the very relaxed fun. With a few great additions like a pool table and the best photo booth. I have become the fan of the PBR tall boys. The bartenders are the best . I am so glad to be back in town and have Finnertys at my door step. Check it out. You will love it!!!!!!!!!

WITH FINNISH/ENGLISH/ITALIAN OWNERS, IS THIS BAR IRISH???? HELL YEAH!!!!! THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS!! WHATEVER YOU WANT, THEY HAVE. GREAT PLACE TO PLAY AND SOCIALIZE. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE FLAT SCREEN TV 'S WHICH ALWAYS HAVE THE GREAT GAMES ON!!!! LOVE THE $3.00 SHOT SPECIAL EVERY NIGHT AND THE $3.00 PINTS. AFTER A HARD DAYS WORK , THIS IS A PERFECT PLACE TO LET LOOSE.!!!!

Just sit back and relax here. The staff is great. The beers are priced right and a wide selection. We played pool and foose ball for a $1.00. We only were having a beer and stayed all night. This is our new place and we love it. I have come to love the PBR tall boys with a shot of whiskey. Good Special!!! Thanks Finnerty's. You got my heart and liver.

Been out of the area and to my surprise my favorite bar moved from third ave to second ave . But thank God nothing has changed. That means great low prices and excellent staff and a little Italian owner. But one thing that changed is the space. Now I can play pool and foose ball. More fun. Thanks for going bigger.

Whoever stops here will not want to leave. $2.00 Pints of Bud and Bud Light from opening till closing. I brought a bunch of friends and we came all the way from the west side uptown. We are big fooseball players and heard about this bar. The staff are really fun. The door guys are very friendly. This is our new place to go on the weekends. So look out eastside the westside is moving in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what my girlfriend said. $1.00 Pints of Bud and Bud light Thursday night from 10pm till 1am. We are going this week. And I ordered a stoli blueberry and soda and that came in a pint. That is Heaven. Not to mention the foose ball table and very friendly bartenders. This one is a keeper for us. Thanks
