After reading some of the mixed reviews some good and some bad I still decided to try out the place. It is close to my office and conveniently located on my walk home so I walked in one day. Although they looked busy they were able to take me for a massage and a much needed pedicure after. The therapist Alex was just incredible. He used deep pressure as I requested but it I wasn't in pain during the massage. I felt my muscle relaxing and his gentle demeanor put me right at ease, he was tentative asking me how I felt, making sure I breathed properly and that I was comfortably draped. It was very professional and I can't remember that last time I enjoyed a massage as I did this. Afterwards I had a Buff Pedicure that the technician talked me into upgrading that was well worth it. They use a lot of disposable items and wear gloves so the attention to the sanitation was appreciated and the dry buffing and warm paraffin socks did wonders for my feet. This is not your average neighborhood salon. The technicians are knowledgeable and skilled.

DO NOT get a spray tan here. It's $65 for a person to hand spray you, but my spray tan looked worse than the job I get from paying $15 to stand in a booth. The palms of my hands, the bottoms of my feet, and my index finger were dark orange and the next morning I spent 15 minutes in the shower trying to scrub it off. So many other places to get an excellent hand spray - I don't recommend going here.

I went here with a gift certificate from a friend. I asked for the purifying facial. Unfortunately, although the facial was a great experience, I was shocked to find out that I had been given-- and then paid for-- a much more expensive facial. (my efforts to speak to someone about this was met with silence.) This was a very disappointing experience and will cause me not to recommend the spa to my friends. be aware when you go in for services that you are receiving what you asked for.
Pros: pretty lobby area; serene setting
Cons: Ceilings need work-- and is especially obvious when you are lyng face up in the treatment rooms.

I took my husband for a couple's massage for his birthday. We were their last appointment for the day. They were 15 minutes late in taking us in. We had our own private room with hot stone massages and I really enjoyed my massage. My masseuse was excellent and I felt very relaxed. The atmosphere was also very calming. Afterwards I felt a bit rushed out because it was the end of their day. I would say this is a good place to go for an enjoyable massage, not for couples because they don't really do anything to make it a special experience for a couple.

I just moved into the area and happened to pass by Acqua Beauty Bar and walked in for a last minute facial and a manicure. They were able to fit me in. I received a SuperSonic Skin Polisher –they used some type of a metal implement that exfoliated my skin. It was different than any other facial I had and my skin was amazingly smooth and bright (ask for Kelly)! And whatever they use for manicures works because after five days my polish still hasn’t chipped which is a rarity for me.

I went to there few days ago, I was so upset.Front desk's woman ,I want ask her " what's wrong with you?"Her look like fidgety and lazy, also when she told to other people so strong, but when she told to me(I mean the client ) that's very nice.Because I don't like the people who has different manner between staff and client.
Pros: NONE
Cons: NONE

This place used to be very good and relaxing, but last summer (summer of 2006) it's staff changed completely (perhaps the management did as well) and the spa experience became really disappointing. Some of the massage therapists are actually quite good, but it's inconsistent, the ambiance is gone, massage rooms are cold and loud, some members of the staff don't speak English very well, appointments are booked incorrectly and many treatments became mediocre at best. It now has a feel of a cheap Chinatown manicure parlor. I'm sorry to see my favorite place change for the worse.

I received a gift card for a massage and i have to say it was the best massage i had. I had a shiatsu massage with Masa and he was personable, very strong which is how i like my massage but not painful. One hour is definitely not enough. The rooms are not small like in some other places and once you go to the back where the treatment rooms are it is peaceful.

Had a mani there recently... nothing special. The place is cramped in the mani/pedi area... a pedicurist had to totally stop working on her client to move out of the way so I could access the manicure tables. I wouldn't go back there... for the price there are tons of better places.
Pros: conviently located, started right on time
Cons: cramped, mediocre execution

This past weekend my friend and I decided we would treat ourselves to massages and salt scrubs at Aqua. When we arrived we also decided to get manicures. The staff was accomodating and were able to start with manicures, which was great, however, the manicurist cut my cuticle in 2 spots. The spa itself, had little to no ambiance and we were rushed from one service to the next. Whenever anyone, anywhere in the spa turned the water on, the pipes made a horrific groaning sound that you could hear in every room and definitely destroyed the relaxing mood. The massage itself was very good, however the salt scrub was incredibly lacking. It was supposed to last 40 minutes and lasted only about 20. It felt like being in a car wash. It was a quick scrub barely even exfoliating my skin and then the vishi shower. I had never experienced a vishi show before, and for anyone who may not know, it is basically a pipe with many shower heads that is extended over the massage table, so that they can shower you off while you lay on the table. It was not bad, just different. But, after the vishi shower I was asked to stand up and the spa employee showered me off the rest of the way. Which was a very uncomfortable situation as I basically stood there unclothed while someone hoses me down. I was then asked if I would like moisturizer. I said yes, so the employee simply left moisturizer next to my robe for me to apply. At any other spa I have been to for a salt scrub that has always been part of the service, so I was a little put off by this. All in all, it was very dissappointing, especially when you are paying premium prices for the service.
