Moderately priced hotel offers a breakfast buffet, in-room work spaces and other amenities for business travelers.

In Short
The first Marriott hotel opened in 1957, and has since expanded to several different brands, with Courtyard serving business travelers. In addition to free daily newspaper delivery, media-equipped meeting rooms and buffet breakfasts in their on-site restaurant, most locations also offer The Market--a 24-hour shop for food and refreshments. Rooms include well-lit work spaces, ergonomic desk chairs, separate sitting areas and free high-speed Internet (participating locations). The front desk offers faxing, copying and printing services.

great stay

by city_eater

I just spent the weekend there with my boyfriend and had a great time. Everyone was nice and helpful. The hotel was clean and the service was great. 5th ave, Madison ave, central park etc were just a few blocks away. Be aware of discounts...thats why we stayed there..saved us an extra $50 a night. With the money we saved we went out to many of the local bars...I suggest Opal around the corner.

  • Pros: service was great
  • Cons: bring your own pillow

Left Us In the Cold!!!

by valstar99

My family (incl 8 yr old son) were left in the hotel lobby to fend for ourselves after a mistake made by Marriot reservations. The manager avoided eye contact, and not once offered my freezing son a seat in a warmer section of the hotel while we attempted to straigthen things out over the phone with reservations. This hotel lacked basic humankindness, friendliness, and warmth. Basically, somebody screwed up, and my family paid the price. Instead of continuing to feel unwanted, we caught a cab to the Omni Berkshire around the corner, and immensly enjoyed being lavished with attention and warm-n-fuzzies. Not to mention the hotel ammenties make the Marriott seem shabby -sans chic. Oh, thanks to the BellHop for finding us a cab, and for caring.

  • Pros: BellHop was friendly, BellHop got us a cab

A Wonderful Hotel

by borisv2000

A beautifully crafted hotel and right in the center of it all, the Courtyard Midtown East is for those willing to pay a little more for excellent quality and a pleasant experience. The hotel occupies a 30 story former office building facing the magnificent Third Avenue and situated in the middle of "skyscraper alley." The location is very convenient to shops, restaurants, attractions, and transportation. The rooms meanwhile are well decorated, making them a comfortable place to spend your time. There is breakfast available inside, but for a price. Beautiful Views!!!

  • Pros: Well decorated, Location, Views from rooms
  • Cons: A little pricy
