Have sadly only eaten inside Snack a few times. I don't live or work too close so my golden chances are rare. Can say that every meal there has been wonderful. The place is charming, the staff delightful and the food scrumptious. Am not Greek but if I were..I'd swear my mom was cooking for me there. I always order various hot & cold appetizers and then always fall for the lamb sandwich. A foodie friend taught me to ask for the lamb on pita and the sauce just works magic into the pita. Apart from the lamb I highly recommend their mousaka, the fava appetizer and their greek salad. I am just a little out of their range but they - with pleading and dog whimpering - deliver to my business and make me and my clients ohhhhh so very happy.

Although a little off the beaten track, if you happen to be shopping along Bleeker, this is a really great place to go. The greek salad is a very healthy portion and very fresh; as an appetizer it is easily sharable between 3 or 4 people. The staff is friendly and cheerful. The Avgolemono Eggs are reminicent of eggs florentine with beautifully poached eggs layered over spinach, tomatoes and rustic bread with a delicious lemon sauce and come with a very nicely made side of pomme frites with caramelized onions and coriander. I'm not a big fan of potatoes with breakfast normally, but these were very well made. The warm frappes are very good. And the restaurant seems very family friendly. A+ for good service, great comfort food, and charming atmosphere.
Pros: Food, people, venue
Cons: n/a

Everything in this place is wonderful, but the veal meatballs are especially wonderful!!! YUMMY! They melt in your mouth! The service is great, and although small, the place is very comfortable. Also love the vegetarian and lamb sandwiches!

I came upon Snack while shopping solo in SoHo. Upon stepping inside, I decided to take my food to go. I ordered the Vegetarian Souvlaki (not positive about spelling). After making my way to an outdoor table a block away, I started to chow down. I was expecting the sandwich to be warm, but it was cold, and the pita was a bit overstuffed. But after a few bites, I was loving it. The sweet sauce balanced the sharpness of the onions, and the other veggies were delicious. I would definitely reccomend this cozy spot for take out (because of the limited seating). A great find.
Pros: Service
Cons: Space

I just love this place…..Yes, they don’t have a few things we have come accustom to when dining, like diet coke or wine glasses…and the bathrooms are behind lock and key in the hallway of the neighboring apartment building. BUT you have to try this place! The atmosphere is so quiet, cozy and dim lit. The rustic wood tables and no frills Greek décor are so inviting. The food is always delicious and something about the place is relaxing!!!. Great for dates and catching up with a friend. Go on off hours to avoid a wait and not good for big parties. Great Lunch place too! The largest table seats 4, I think. Must try it!!!!

This quaint Greek cafe is candle-lit and perfect for an intimate meal with friends or date. You can't go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu, and I recommend trying something new. The service is wonderful and the wine list is expansive, ask the server for a recommendation and she'll bring you the best glass you've ever had!
Pros: The food, the wine, the ambiance
Cons: there are none

Finally got into Snack on a rainy Saturday night and was not disapointed at all. Service was FANTASTIC, food was even better than the service and it is just so cozy!!! I will definitely be back and actually wait on a line the next time :)
Pros: Food, Service and price
Cons: teeny, but hey, it's so cute!

Eating at Snack would be exactly like eating at your Greek grandmother's, if your grandma were 40 years younger, hip, and a gourmet cook. I found the Citysearch review of this place particularly unhelpful, as though the reviewer had never eaten Greek food before. The "sweetish, oniony lamb stew" that's described as only "serviceable" is in reality a simply magical rendition of a classic. The avgolemono is heavenly, and the keftedes are the best I've ever had. Ever. (Sorry, Yiayia.)

Pros: quality, authenticity, taste
Cons: somewhat pricy, teeny, teeny but ok

EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT. THE SPACE, ELEMENTS, FOOD AND PRESENTATION, SIMPLICITY AND SERVICE. THE HORTA ARE EXCEPTIONAL, THE HORIATIKI SALAD ALTHOUGH I WOULD PREFER THAT IT WAS CHOPED RIGHT AT THE MOMENT THAT WAS ORDERED MET MY STANDARDS..PAPOUTSAKIA OR LITTLE SHOES VERY INTERESTING ALTHOUGH THE CREAMY TOPPING (BECHAMEL)COULD HA BEEN A BIT CREAMIER..THE SAGANAKI WAS FAIR AND THE PIES JUST FINE, NOTHING SPECIAL BUT PRETTY GOOD FOR STARTERS. THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY FINE AND THE OVERALL ATMOSPHERE PLEASANT. I LIKED THE ATHENIAN BEER WHICH I NEVER B4 HAD IN ATHENS-GREECE. GOOD GOOD-AS A GREEK DIFFICULT SAVVY CUSTOMER I AM GREATLY SATISFIED BY THIS TEENY GREEK BISTRO. I WOULD CERTAINLY RECCOMEND IT-
Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE
